The Rosary Coast to Coast is part of the Global Rosary Campaign which will unite the faithful in The United

States to call upon the intercession of Our Lady of The rosary to heal our country and return it to holiness.

Under the mantle of Our Lady of Guadalupe we will pray the very powerful 54 Day Rosary Novena that began on the Feast of the Assumption, August 15th, and will

end on the Feast of Our Lady of The Rosary, October 7th. Please feel free to join us after daily mass

to pray the 54 day Novena or pray on your own the traditional rosary for the conversion of the United States.

We will gather to pray the rosary on Sunday, October 7th at 4:00pm at

Pepper Park Beach on North Hutchinson Island.

Visit RosaryCoastToCoast.com for more information on the Novena and the National Rosary.

Children’s Liturgy

The Children’s Liturgy will resume this Sunday,

September 9th at the 9:30am Mass.

Parents are required to drop off and sign their child in prior to the 9:30am Mass. During Mass the children

will return to sit with their parents.

St. Anastasia Parish Welcomes

Deacon Joshua Hare

Deacon Joshua Hare is a seminarian for the Diocese of St. Petersburg,

Florida. He is currently in his fourth year of theology at St. Vincent De Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach.

Deacon Joshua will be serving St. Anastasia Parish as a transitional Deacon at weekend Masses.

Please welcome and introduce yourself to him.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ:

This weekend, September 8th and 9th, the Diocese of Palm Beach will have a

special collection to benefit the Respect Life Ministry and Migrant Ministry.

These ministries seek to protect the sacredness and uniqueness of God’s people. Specifically, the Respect Life Ministry program produces materials to help Catho-lics understand and become engaged in supporting the God-given dignity of each and every person, which naturally leads to protecting the gift of every life. The mission of the Migrant Ministry program is to serve and advocate for refugees, asylees, migrants, unaccompanied children, and victims of human trafficking. These individuals typically have suffered great loss, including their homes, livelihoods, possessions and oftentimes families, therefore needing assistance to start over in a new environment. As we prepare for Respect Life Month in October, let us prayerfully reflect upon the 2018-2019 annual theme chosen by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, “Every Life: Cherished, Chosen, Sent.” This reminds us of God’s promise to value and respect all of humanity. As followers of Jesus Christ and members of His Church, we seek to protect and promote the sanctity of the unborn, the poor, the unemployed, the migrant, the marginalized, the imprisoned, the sick, the persecuted and the vulnerable. When society fails to respect the life and dignity of innocent children in the womb, that same society soon learns to disrespect all life. I encourage you to read about the Respect Life Ministry and Migrant Ministry to fully understand the great work that these programs offer to our brothers and sisters in Christ, and support them with your time, talent, and treasure. Together let us prayerfully and compassionately respond in faith to those who cry out to God in desperation as they seek a safe place for themselves and their families. With gratitude for your continued generosity and every prayerful wish,

I am Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito Bishop of Palm Beach Dynamic Catholic

On the weekend of September 15th & 16th the CD "Faith at work and the Holy Moments" by Matthew Kelly will be available to all members

of the Parish on afirst come first serve basis at all Masses.

Please visit the Evangelization Ministry display

in the back of the church to see the other materials Dynamic Catholic has to offer.

WE NEED YOUR PICTURES!

Saint Anastasia's Capital Campaign Committee is looking for some pictures to display our Church and School's rich and beautiful history. We have many

families who have been a part of our Church Family for many generations!! If you have pictures from

Saint Anastasia Catholic School or Church (new or Old) that includes your family, the buildings, and/or any past special occasions (the older the better!!) please email them to Kerri Boyd at [email protected]. Please

identify who are in the pictures and what the pictures are depicting. If you don't have them electronically, please

email Kerri and she will be happy to work with you to get them printed. We will be displaying these pictures during

our Kickoff Campaign Party on October 24th.

If you could please have the pictures to us by no later than October 10th, it would be much appreciated.

The Missionaries are currently completing their Fall training at Net Headquarters in St. Paul Minnesota. Our new Net Team

will be arriving on the Weekend of September 15th & 16th and will be

introduced at all Masses! St. Anastasia is one of only two parishes in Florida

that will be receiving a NET Missionary Team for a third year.

All Youth bring as side dish and come meet our new NET TEAM at Sunday Night Live on September 16th from 6-8pm!

Are you looking for a way to help? Feed our youth, while the NET Team feeds their souls. We are looking for volunteers to provide food for our Sunday Night Live events.

If you are interested please contact at [email protected]

Last year we were blessed to have an amazing group of young men and women from

September 2017 until May 2018.

The NET Team had a profound impact on the community of St. Anastasia Church & School, Juan Diego Centro and many host families.

Please remember to keep the First and Second Year NET Team members in your prayers!

Jesus Gives the Gift of Hearing Being able to hear is a wonderful gift from God. Imagine what it would be like if you couldn’t hear anything! In today’s Gospel

reading, the people begged Jesus to heal a deaf man. What do you think it was like for

that man when suddenly he could hear everything that was going on around him?

God has given us the gift of hearing to be able to talk with and listen to other people, and to appreciate the sounds of creation. We use

this gift to hear God’s Word at Mass and when we are being taught.

Think of all the things that we can do

because we can hear: we can listen to and play music, we can sing and talk with

people, we can hear birds and wind in the trees, and we can also be warned of

things like barking dogs, or cars coming. Did you ever thank God for the gift of hearing?

Thank Him today!

A Family Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of our family. Enlighten our hearts and

minds that we may live more fully this vocation to love.

In our daily life and work, may we reflect the self-giving

which you. O Father, eternally show with your Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let your love be evident in the peace that reigns in our home and in the faith we profess and live. May our family always be a place of generosity,

understanding, forgiveness and joy.

Kindly give us the wisdom and courage to be witnesses to your eternal design for the family; and grant that the Holy Family of Nazareth may always guide our path to

holiness as a family.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen

Would you be Interested in hosting the St. Anastasia NET Team Missionaries in your home?

As you may have heard, St. Anastasia Parish will be hosting the NET Team Missionaries for a third year! The NET Team will again aid our Parish’s youth ministry program. We are inviting you to consider hosting a few members of the NET Team in your home for a small portion of the year. Hosting the NET Team missionaries is a vital component to the success of the program. Host homes are the ideal because they provide additional ministry opportunities for the team!

We have plenty of openings that need to be filled and would greatly appreciate the donation of your home, time and hospitality for the team. Each host home will house 2 or more NET team members for 2 weeks. A minimum of two NET team members of the same gender can be housed together, however larger same gendered groups or the whole team may be housed for a short time in. No team member can ever be housed alone!

Team members travel with their own sleeping bags, personal items and are flexible with where they sleep. Additional requirements will include providing meals such as breakfast in your home, packing or providing money for lunch and sometimes dinner. NET Team missionaries will be home 2-3 evenings a week for dinner.

If you are interested in helping out from September 2018 to May 2019 please complete the Host Family Information Sheet at the bottom of the page and place it in the collection basket or return it to the St. Anastasia Parish Office.
