2 Corinthians 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making
an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
What a privilege the Lord has given us in sharing the Gospel message. We are His eyes, His
arms, His mouth piece, His heart, reaching out to a lost and dying world. Jesus is the answer!
As of this month we are at 20 new church starts. It is amazing to see what the Lord is doing. We
still have areas of great need and potential and no pastor to care for the sheep. May the Lord stir
the hearts of our churches to send out workers into the mission field which is right before our very eyes.
We have several seminary classes starting up: Please call us for more information.
We would like to congratulate Dr, Daniel Beteta on his new position at Magnolia Ave. Baptist Church. Please be in prayer for him and his family.
Don’t forget to sign up for the Men’s Spanish Camp in Jenness Park, Oct. 28-30 Please call: Pastor Erick Bonilla

Part 3 How to Grow a Church Leader: Observe
Learning by observing the behavior of others around us has long been an acceptable and successful method of behavior modification. In ministry as well as in life, watching those around you is a powerful method for developing new skills and honing those skills you have already acquired.
Pay attention to the model. When observing behavior that you intend to use in the future, you should choose those who are recognized for knowledge, honesty, integrity, and authority. Developed behaviors and their responses are only as good as the model you choose to learn them from.
Reflect on what you have seen. Before you begin to change a behavior make certain that the new behavior does not radically change your and others understanding of basic Biblical truth. Learning is only valuable when it gives you opportunity to be more effective in serving God. Test your observations with scriptural truth.
Practice makes permanent. The old statement “Practice makes perfect” is only true when what you are practicing is perfect.
Teachability is an asset. Watching others who are more experienced and seemingly more talented than you shows that you are teachable. People respect those who are teachable.
One hour on October 22nd
, that is what we ask! Last year we changed our Annual Meeting to an Annual
Mission fair. We are doing the same again this year on Saturday, October 22, from 1 to 4 p.m. We will
have over 40 of our churches and ministry partners available to share and answer questions when it
comes to specific ministries that we trust will be of practical value to you. This year we are going to
emphasize our church planters, as we have had a truly amazing year when it comes to starting churches
all over the Inland Empire. We also want to emphasize counseling ministries due to the regular contact of
churches asking where they can send individuals who need specific types of counseling. We plan on
having 4 or 5 such ministries that our churches have worked alongside of and found very beneficial. Of
course we will have a number of other ministries as well. The evangelism trailers will be there, set up and ready to be
used. Come have some cotton candy, a snow cone, or some popcorn, let your kids use our jumper, and see the trailer in
use! We are also adding some live music on an outside stage as three of our worship teams will come and perform. The
desire here is that you would be able to come and get a picture of what all we can do and are doing together. We also
want you to be able to connect with other churches who may be involved in a ministry that can be shared in some capacity
with your church. I am looking forward to seeing you and your church there!

SUNDAY SCHOOL PREPARATION AND TRAINING CONFERENCE
As we head into the fall, it’s a good time to get some training and inspiration. Our event this year will focus on how the Sunday School can be the agent to transform lives. We will have classes for all age group workers: preschool, children, students, adults and pastors/general officers. We will meet at First Baptist Church, 222 Bloomington Avenue in Rialto on Saturday, September 10 and at Hemet Valley Baptist Church, 1480 N. Kirby Street in Hemet on Saturday, September 17. Both events will begin with a continental
breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:00 noon. The same material will be offered at both conferences. The event is free and everyone will receive a free book.
ADIESTRADOS PARA LA EXCELENCIA
This is our twelfth annual Hispanic training event. Our keynote speaker this year will be Richard Vera from the Healthy Church Group of the California Southern Baptist Convention. A publicity packet has been mailed to all of our Hispanic churches. If you did not received one, or need another, please call the office. You can also check out our web site at www.adiestradosparalaexcelencia.org. It has all of the same information as the packet. You can also register on line. In addition to all of the age-graded Sunday School conferences, we also have a number of specialty conferences. Some of them are: Social Issues in the Hispanic Church, Strengthening the Family and a conference just for youth called Youth Connecting with the Love of God. There are 17 conferences in all. Because so many people have requested it, our lunch will be provided by the IN-IN-OUT Burger truck. We are pleased to let you know that we have not raised the price of this conference in many years. There is a $5.00 discount if you pre-register on or before September 19

Bryant Street Farms
Tomatoes, squash, peas, beans, pumpkins, corn, onions, peppers, watermelons and more has become one of the most recent ways that Bryant Street Baptist Church is reaching out to Yucaipa. The church had property adjacent to their building that was not in use and Pastor Frank thought of using the ground to start a garden in which they could help out their church members, as well as the community. Volunteers from the church got the dirt ready for planting and put in a sprinkler system to create a garden that is approximately 200 feet by 400 feet. They then planted all kinds of vegetables and have weekly volunteers from the church that keep up with the garden. On Sunday mornings the church sets up a table with vegetables for the members to take either for free or by donation. The church has adopted a trailer park called Las Casitas and over the years they have painted the trailers, fixed broken porches, held a VBS and had an angel tree for Christmas.
Throughout the week, and after church on Sunday, they take vegetables to the trailer park to donate to the people who live there. God is using Bryant Street and their new garden in a powerful and effective way.
