Understanding of the psychological issues:

I served a faculty staff and student body of a local elementary school

in my community. Their ages were from Grades K-5 and Middle-Aged staff.

I had a few misconceptions simply because I’m not the greatest with kids

and don’t have that much patience with them but I came to realize that with

most kids, all they want is acceptance and kindness and they are a very

inspirational age group. A few understanding I came to realize that was if I

just take the time to get to know some of the kids, it’s a really good

experience to spend a day with them and hear about what they’re learning

in school and what they like to do outside of school.

This experience has changed my perspective of the younger

generations by simply teaching me that I’m pretty good dealing with kids, a

lot more than I thought, and I think of some of the kids that I met, it will be

pretty neat to see what they become in life as I get older. I would definitely

serve this population again, they were a great group of people and I plan on

contacting them again to see if there is any more work I could possibly help

out with.
