UBC Orchard Commons – Completed in 2016, this LEED Gold certification project is an academic and residential space for international and domestic students. This 448,000 square foot mixed use academic/student housing facility is the new home for the UBC Vantage College Program. Work consisted of full mechanical services for 1,049 beds, administrative space and a new commercial kitchen.

New Westminster Anvil Centre - Completed in 2014, this LEED Gold multi-use civic facility/office tower consisted of a brand new 350 seat theatre and over 100,000 plus square feet of office space. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and specialty aquatherm systems.

Vancouver Aquarium Expansion and Revitalization Project - Completed in 2014, This VRCA Gold award winning project is the largest expansion undertaken by the Aquarium. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, District Energy Systems and salt water life support systems throughout the new facility.

UBC Centre for Comparative Medicine - Completed in 2012, the mechanical work in this new building consisted of a complete mechanical systems installation as well as automated drinking water systems, radio active waste systems and a remote monitored steam plant to support this scientific research facility.

UBC Earth Sciences Building - Completed in 2012, This VRCA Gold award winning project consisted of specialized mechanical services to support the new multi-purpose research facility. The project also was able to achieve LEED Gold certification.

Chilliwack General Hospital - Completed in 2010, this design build project involved renovation and expansion to the existing facility. The state-of-the art design and leading practices facilitated improvements to patient flow through the emergency department, with diagnostic and ambulatory services. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and medical gas systems.

Vancouver Convention Centre Expansion Project (VCCEP) - Completed in 2009, this LEED Silver project is a landmark facility in one of the most spectacular water front settings in the world. It was a showcase for the 2010 Olympic Games.

Yaletown Roundhouse Station - Completed in 2009. This VRCA Gold Award Winning Canada Line project is one of the largest and most complex underground stations built 19 metres below the heart of the down town core.

Killarney Community Pool - Completed in 2006, this VRCA Gold award winning project was a highly complex facility. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC and extensive pool piping for the 6 metre waterslide, leisure pool and 25 metre main pool.

Killarney Ice Rink & Lobby Addition - Completed in 2009, this state-of-the-art Leed Gold arena served as a practice facility for 2010 Olympic athletes participating in figure skating.

Michael Smith Lab - Completed in 2005, work consisted of specialized mechanical services to support a cutting edge scientific experimentation research facility.

Catamaran Ferries Assembly Building - Completed in just 3 months in 1996, this VRCA award winning project was a fast track, highly complex project. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, site services and installation of sophisticated breathing and compressed air systems.

Tenant Fit-Up/Renovation

Park Royal Mall Redevelopment – Completed in 2017, this three year project consisted of various upgrades/retrofits for Park Royal North, Simons, City Market and the new food court.

Steve Nash Fitness World – Completed in 2015, this fast track project consisted of plumbing, HVAC and Fire Protection systems.

Vancity – Completed from 2011 to 2015, Over the last four years we have retrofitted ten locations throughout the lower mainland.

UBC Sauder School of Business - Completed in 2012, this LEED Silver two year renovation project consisted of multiple phases to upgrade the entire mechanical system. Many challenges were overcome in order to accommodate the academic business schedules of the faculty.

Surgical Centre Inc - Completed in 2012, this private healthcare facility was completed on a very tight schedule. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and sophisticated medical gas systems.

Lions Gate Hospital Emergency Department - This highly specialized project completed in 2008. The mechanical work for this project consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and sophisticated medical gas and piping systems.

Queen Elizabeth Theatre Phase 1. - This fast track project was completed in less than 5 months. Work consisted of plumbing, specialized HVAC systems and fire protection to upgrade the existing theatre.

Burnaby Youth Justice Services Centre - Completed in 2007, the new Burnaby Youth Custody Services replaced the previous youth custody centre built in the late 1950's. This "Leed Silver" building consisted of 84 beds amid a fully functional services centre which required a full upgrade of mechanical services throughout the facility.

UBC Faculty of Dentistry Tenant Improvement Level 2 - This project was completed on a tight schedule for an arriving tenant in 2005. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, vacuum and sophisticated medical gas systems for the entire fit-up of 144 dental chairs.

YVR - DTB DHW System Upgrades - Completed in just 3 months in 2003, this VRCA award winning project was a fast track, highly complex installation of an 800-gallon per hour solar-powered heating system. Work consisted of installing the largest solar heating system in B.C., which included two new energy-efficient hot water tanks and 100 solar panels located on the roof of the domestic terminal building.

NRC - Completed in 2004, this four year project consisted of various specialized upgrades at the UBC NRC Laboratory Facility. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and sophisticated process gas systems (we continue to work on-site completing new on-going projects).

401 Burrard - This high-rise retrofit was completed on a tight schedule for arriving tenants in 2003. Work consisted of a complete upgrade to the mechanical services for the entire fit-up of all 18 floors.

Completed in 2010, this new sanitary pump station consisted of complete plumbing, HVAC and process piping systems.

Completed in 2010, work consisted of plumbing and compressed air systems to upgrade the washdown locations along the track.

Completed in 2003, work consisted of installing owner supplied hypochlorite storage tanks and associated process equipment. Piping systems installed included water, sodium hypochlorite, instrument air and non potable water.

Walter Moberly Elementary School Seismic Upgrade - Completed in 2009, this 15 month seismic upgrade required meticulous planning and organization to keep the school open during construction.

St. Thomas Aquinas High School - Completed renovations in 2005, work included plumbing, HVAC and fire protection systems.

UBC West Mall Swing Space Building - This 2005 project included plumbing and HVAC piping systems for the new classrooms & lecture halls.

Carey Theological College Academic Building - UBC - This 5 storey concrete housing project consisted of plumbing and HVAC systems upgrades which completed in 2005.

BCIT - We have completed a variety of projects at BCIT. Work has included plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, process piping, and lab waste systems. Projects completed are NE-10-Auto Body, SE-16, Scramble Lab, Environmental Lab, Computer Resources, NW-1, NE-9, Physics Lab, Dean’s Office, Drafting Lab, Bio-Med Lab, SE-14, NE-6 and Waste Lab.

Corpus Christi Heating System Modifications - Completed in 2002, this project consisted of installing a full upgrade to the existing heating systems within the classrooms. A preventative maintenance program performed by Alpha service technicians ensures optimum performance of the heating system.

St. George's School - Completed in 2000, work consisted of full mechanical systems including plumbing, HVAC, gas piping, acid waste and fire protection system.

Langara College - Completed in 1999, work consisted of plumbing, HVAC and fire protection systems within the classrooms.

West Vancouver Secondary School - Completed in 1999, work consisted of plumbing, HVAC and fire protection systems.

UBC Thea Koerner House - In 1994, Alpha completed work on this renovation project consisting of plumbing, HVAC and fire protection system upgrades.

UBC Earth Science Building - Completed in 2012, This VRCA Gold award winning project consisted of specialized mechanical services to support the new multi-purpose research facility. The project also was able to achieve LEED Gold certification.

UBC Centre for Comparative Medicine - Completed in 2012, the mechanical work in this new building consisted of a complete mechanical systems installation as well as automated drinking water systems, radio active waste systems and a remote monitored steam plant to support this scientific research facility.

Michael Smith Lab - Completed in 2005, the mechanical scope of work consisted of specialized mechanical services and piping for this cutting edge scientific experimentation research facility.

UBC Faculty of Dentistry - Tenant Improvement Level 2 - This project was completed on a tight schedule for an arriving tenant in 2005. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, vacuum and sophisticated medical gas systems for the entire fit-up of 144 dental chairs.

VGH 5th Floor Reno Jack Bell Research Centre - Completed in 2004, work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, acid waste and medical gas systems.

NRC - Work was completed on various specialized upgrades at the UBC NRC Laboratory facility. Work consisted of plumbing, heating, HVAC, fire protection and sophisticated process gas systems.

UBC Chemistry Building Labs - Completed in 2001, work included the upgrade and retrofit of process gases, laminar flow fume extraction, HVAC and conventional and special waste DWV plumbing systems.

BC Centre for Disease Control - Completed in 1997, under a very strict schedule, the mechanical work consisted of laboratory upgrades including HVAC, plumbing and special pure water piping systems for the installation of all owner supplied equipment for the research labs.

Cantest - Completed in 1997, work consisted of two phases, phase one for the entire renovation of the existing building and phase two for the completion of the medical gas package in the labs. A complete mechanical system was added which included plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and medical gas systems.

Surgical Centre Inc - Completed in 2012, this private

healthcare facility was completed on a tight schedule.

Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection

and sophisticated medical gas systems.

Richmond General Hospital Emergency Department

- Completed in 2011, the new expanded emergency

department featured multiple care spaces which

helped emergency teams better prioritize cases and

reduce congestion and wait times. Work consisted of

plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and sophisticated

medical gas systems.

Chilliwack General Hospital - Completed in 2010,

this design build project involved renovation and

expansion of the existing facility. The state-of-the art

design and leading practices facilitated improvements

to patient flow through the emergency department,

with diagnostic and ambulatory services. Work

consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and

medical gas systems.

Lions Gate Hospital Emergency Department - This

highly specialized project was completed in 2008.

Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection

and sophisticated medical gas systems.

VGH Jim Pattison Pavilion Basement Finishing

Phase 1 - Completed in 2006, this fast track fit-up

consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and

highly complex medical gas systems.

Lions Gate Hospital Ultrasound / Chiller upgrade -

Completed in 2007, this multi-phased project

required a complex and detailed schedule to

successfully hoist and install the 200 ton chiller. The

hospital remained fully operational throughout the

duration of the project.

VGH Academic Ambulatory Care - Medical Gas

System - Completed in 2006, this medical gas project

consisted of installing all medical gas and piping

systems throughout the ambulatory care centre.

Royal Columbian Hospital - Intensive Care Unit

Expansion - Completed in 2007, the complex

mechanical work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire

protection, specialty waste systems, steam,

condensate and specialized medical gas systems to

complete the intensive care unit.

Vancouver Aquarium Expansion and Revitalization Project - Completed in 2014, This VRCA Gold award winning project is the largest expansion undertaken by the Aquarium. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, District Energy Systems and salt water life support systems throughout the new facility.

Killarney Community Pool - Completed in 2006, this VRCA Gold award winning project was a highly complex undertaking. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC and extensive pool piping for the 6 metre waterslide, leisure pool and 25 metre main pool.

Vancouver Aquarium - Aquaculture Diversification Laboratory - Completed in 2005, the mechanical & life support systems for this project involved a sensitive working environment around live animals, fish, inverts and corals. Work consisted of plumbing, HVAC and fire protection for the new research lab with a separate salt water life support system.

George Wainborn Park - Completed in 2003, work included plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and a specialized fountain and piping system.

Italian Gardens, Hasting Park - Completed in 2000, work consisted of a specialized plumbing system with a design build application to make this unique fountain system functional.

Vancouver Aquarium Pool/Life Support -Completed in 2003, work included renovations to the existing labs, offices and to areas with new exhibits.

Surrey Family YMCA - Completed in 2002, work consisted of plumbing, heating, HVAC and extensive pool piping for the new facility, pool and whirlpools.

Vancouver Aquarium West Coast Exhibit - Completed in 2001, this project involved a very tight schedule coupled with a sensitive working environment (conditions such as noise and vibrations would be harmful to the sea life). This new exhibit was built over the top of the existing Killer Whale pool.

Central Park Pool, City of Burnaby - Completed in 1999, work consisted of upgrading the entire pool system and piping services.

WC Blair Pool - Completed in 1998, work consisted of upgrading the ozone system complete with the installation of new water features.

Karen Magnusen Wave Pool - Completed in 1992, work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and sophisticated pool piping systems.

Maple Grove Pool, City of Vancouver - Completed in 1992, work consisted of a new outdoor underground pool system and piping services.

First Nations Long House -Completed in 1991, work consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection systems and a specialized water feature.

UBC Orchard Commons – Completed in July 2016, this LEED Gold certification project is an academic and residential space for international and domestic students. This 448,000 square foot mixed use academic/ student housing facility is the new home for the UBC Vantage College Program. Work consisted of full mechanical services for 1,049 beds, administrative space and a new commercial kitchen.

UBC Totem Hall Residences – Phase 1 & 3 Completed in 2014, Phase 2 Completed in 2013, these projects consisted of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and specialty aquatherm systems to replace all domestic water systems

Mira On The Park - The full scope of mechanical services for this new building were completed in 2008. An elegant tower of 77 luxurious suites with a collection of 5 separate townhomes situated on the North shore of Vancouver.

Czorny Alzheimer Centre - Completed in 2006, work consisted of plumbing, HVAC and fire protection systems for this residential care facility.

The Brittany @ Champlain Gardens - Completed in 2006, this four storey project with 6 separate buildings consisted of plumbing, HVAC and fire protection for 116 residential units.

Onyx Court - Tsawwassen - Completed in 2004, this four storey wood frame project consisted of plumbing, HVAC and fire protection systems.

Carey Theological College Academic Building - UBC - Completed in 2005, this five storey concrete housing project consisted of plumbing and HVAC systems.

General Currie Town Homes - Started in 2002 this project was completed in 2003 and work consisted of plumbing and HVAC for 17 townhomes.

Dr. Peter Aids Centre - Completed in June 2003. This residential care facility project consisted of plumbing, HVAC and fire protection in extremely confined working areas.

Victoria Mews - Completed in 2002, this 4 storey residential housing project consisted of plumbing, heating, fire protection and HVAC.

Quality Inn - Completed in 1996, work on this hotel consisted of installing full mechanical services for the new addition and the renovation to the existing building.

UBC Thunderbird Housing - Completed in 1995, this 4 story project consisted of plumbing, HVAC and fire protection for 300+ residential student housing units.
