The team of technical experts assists the Fabory affiliates and their customers to solve fastening problems and to give advice in the design of various fastenings. Training modules are being developed for employees and customers. 1. QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY & HEALTH

Management systems are implemented and continuously controlled with regard to quality assurance, environment, safety and health.

1.3 SAFETY & HEALTHAt Fabory, safe working conditions are considered an essential part of professional work. Fabory’s policy concerning management of employees and resources contain the necessary provisions to this subject. Fabory’s safety policy is to prevent incidents

or accidents. With this respect Fabory guards and implements all requirements imposed by applicable legislations, regulations and the organizations policies.

1.1 QUALITY MANAGEMENT The crux in Fabory’s quality policy is the quality level of its employees and the quality of its processes. Fabory‘s quality assurance system was certified according to the ISO 9002 already in 1992 and has been improved ever since. At present the QA

system is certified according to ISO 9001, edition 2015, by DEKRA. Quality Assurance manuals, procedures and work instructions are electronically available to the company employees and are regularly updated. Several internal and external performance indicators guard the continuous improvement process and the degree of customer’s satisfaction.

1.2 ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT Fabory provides safe and healthy working conditions to its employees, with due respect to the environment. Fabory takes care to adequately implement the environmental and safety policies with regard to transportation and storage of

ADR classified products. Obviously, all necessary measures have been implemented to comply with EU-directives such as REACH (Registration of Chemicals), RoHS and ELV (Restriction on hazardous substances). Fabory’s environmental management system is certified according to ISO 14001:2015 by Dekra.

2.1 SUPPLIERSProduct quality depends on a good supplier selection. This is why potential suppliers are evaluated through a first sample assessment and for heat treated parts an onsite audit of the production process. Approved suppliers are continuously monitored for their

delivery and quality performance through a monthly updated Supplier Performance Rating (SPR).

2.2 LOGISTIC INSPECTIONAll incoming goods are checked by the Receiving Goods staff to verify whether they match the bill of loading and labeling, e.g. correct dimensions, product markings and other visual characteristics. These inspections are performed in accordance with

adequate, prescribed instructions. Each batch is fully traceable in the logistic system.

2. QUALITY CONTROL : PRODUCT QUALITY

The quality level of products is being controlled by a system of supplier audits & evaluations and a combination of logistic and laboratory (QC) inspections.

2.3 INSPECTION BY QCThe need for inspection by QC department is monitored by the information system and the goods are automatically sent to the laboratory by the internal transport system.The QC department has been accredited according

to ISO/IEC 17025 by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) since 1997. Consequently the QC department is recognized as an independent laboratory, which is authorized to create product certificates type F3.1 according to ISO 16228. Fastener inspection documents according to EN ISO 16228 are an accepted alternative for certificates according to EN 10204, as published in the Construction standard EN 1090-2:2018. Moreover EN ISO 16228 is specified in each new EN ISO standard on the characteristics of fasteners, that is published as from 2018.

The inspections are carried out according to the appropriate product standards and in line with the standardized acceptance procedures. Specific customer requirements on quality inspection and quality documents can be integrated in the inspection plans. The most important measurement results are recorded in the ERP system (SAP) and fully traceable. If the goods meet the specifications “OK” is given for further processing. The materials handling process is controlled by the computerized “Warehouse Management System”. The accepted goods are placed directly in storage. Non-conforming goods are tagged, the batch is blocked, the non-conformancy is registered and appropriate corrective actions are undertaken.

2.4 TRACEABILITYA sophisticated batch management system ensures that all goods can be traced throughout the whole logistical chain from the Fabory supplier up to customer delivery and in reverse sense. Every delivery from our Central Warehouse or other

Major Warehouses is linked to a batch number. Through this number the history file of the goods can be traced, including e.g. purchase orders, date of delivery, inspection results and in most cases supplier lot number (dependent on the product type). If applicable, original manufacturer lot numbers are printed on the labels. Traceability requirements are in line with the international standards, with French Arrêté (20.01.1995) and the American PL101.
