Sesame Street Live: Make a New Friend

Watching a play is kind of like watching television. The big difference is the people in the show will be on stage in front of you. These people are called actors.

The actors will be in costumes and they will tell a story by talking, singing, and dancing.

First, we will drive a long time in the car.

When we arrive at the Fox Theater, we may need to wait in line. When I am in line, I will keep my hands to myself.

When I get inside, I will hand my ticket to the theater worker. He or

she will show us to our seats.

We will walk to our seats quietly. We must sit in the seat that has our row and seat number on it. It is not a choice.

When we get to our seats, I will wait quietly in my seat, with my hands to myself until the show

starts.

When the show is about to start, the lights will go off. The theater will be dark and quiet.

Lights, music, and actors will come on stage and the show will begin.

If it is too loud, I can cover my ears, wear headphones, or ask mom and dad to take

me to the quiet room.

If I need to use the restroom, I can quietly ask mom or dad to take me. When I am done, we

can go back to our seats and watch the rest of the show.

At the end of the show, people may clap. Clapping tells the actors that they did a good job. I can clap with the people if I

want or I can just sit quietly.

When the show is over, the actors will leave the stage and the lights in the theater will come back on. This

means it is time to leave.

Our family will walk to our car together

and drive home.

I am happy I came to Sesame Street Live’s show at the Fox Theater!
