Student Info:

She is a University Student and taking up a course that majors in English. She is quite shy but she enjoys discussing her personal experiences at school and also towards her part-time job. She is very dedicated in learning Business English and very serious about it.

General Comment:

She is very expressive in her thoughts and ideas in English. She is very detail but sometimes she is making mistakes grammatically because of unfamiliarity with some of the vocabularies.

Strengths:

She handled herself well in answering questions and also in doing the activities. She spontaneously share her ideas and opinions. She is very eager to learn and very attentive during the session. She is very participative in the activities and very polite in asking questions and clarifying things. She is very excited in learning new things and very opinionated in every topic we are discussing on the book. She is very eager to learn something new and wants to clarify things words or processes in detail. She is always thinking of another way of saying a certain phrase. She is more comfortable in discussing her interests in English. She is very spontaneous in her thoughts if she is comfortable with the topic. She is also good in emphasizing thoughts and it is always constructive and polite. Even she makes grammar mistakes sometimes, she still tries to find words that fits to her sentences.

Weaknesses:

She is somewhat nervous in expressing her ideas towards business. She is good in expressing it but somewhat hesitant in elaborating more ideas. She needs to be more confident in expressing business ideas. Sometimes she stammer with some of the words if it is quite new to her and if she hesitates to pronounce it.

Recommended Lesson:

She can continue using the BEC VANTAGE book as it will help her a lot after she graduates from University as the book contains materials related to business environment such as making business letters or emails, common phrases for the business environment, topics about management, business vocabularies and etc. This book will allow her to be more prepared and well equipped after she graduates. This will make her more globally competitive as business English skills is very important towards her field because she is wants to work abroad too.

Since BEC VANTAGE is quite serious most of the time, I also conduct free talking classes about random topics that she may be interested in. This will allow her to express her thought s and interest and for her to be more comfortable about discussing ideas when we are about to go back in studying BEC VANTAGE book.

Prior to the next class, I am making it sure that the next lesson or topic will be her assignment so that she can prepare for it and she can be ready when the session starts.
