XCharge Test Environment – XWeb XCharge Installation and Configuration

1. Access www.x-charge.com, Downloads, Resellers (username = xman, password =

xman2). Download the current Locked version of XCharge. 2. Install XCharge using the default configuration.

a. Open the downloaded installation file. Choose Next to start, Yes to accept the

license.

b. Select Single/Server – Use modem/IP on this computer.

c. Select Next.

d. Input an e-mail address.

e. Select OK.

f. Select Finish.

g. Select OK to reboot the system.

3. Configure XCharge.

a. Open XCharge from the Desktop. You will be prompted for a username/password. Enter system/system. Click on File, XCharge Server.

b. Click on File, Processor. Log in as system/system.

Change the Processor to X-Web and click OK. The XCharge Server restarts automatically.

c. Click Setup. Login as system/system.

d. In Credit Cards, Connection tab, change the Server Location to: https://test.t3secure.net/X-Chargeweb.dll. Select Add or Modify at the bottom.

The name of the MID may be changed from Default. The Market Type remains Retail.

Load a merchant configuration file by selecting Load Setup File…

e. In Credit Cards, General tab, set AVS and CVC/CVV2 support to AVS & CVC/CVV2.

f. In Credit Cards, Processor Options, check Allow duplicate transactions.

(XCharge version 7.1.5 and higher requires the default System password to be changed prior to processing a transaction.)

g. Click General Options. Select Security and then select Modify for the user System. Change the password and select OK at the bottom.

h. Select Save and Exit on the XCharge Server Setup screen.

4. Test XCharge

a. Close any previously open XCharge windows and reopen from the shortcut on the desktop. Login with new system credentials.

b. Select Review. XCharge should display a Settlement Totals Report, indicating that the XCharge Server is configured properly.

b. The following swipe data can be copied into XCharge’s Credit Card # field. This is equivalent to swiping a card with a keyboard emulation swiper. XCharge should immediately parse the data.

Check the Enable Auto-Offline Processing box. Set the Enabled drop down to Yes. Enter the Offline Approval Limit and select OK.

Offline Mode can be enabled by disconnecting from the internet or opening XCharge and processing transactions for $13.71 or $13.72. By using the trigger amounts, XCharge is set to Offline Mode for 5 minutes, and then returns to online mode.

Additional transactions may be processed. Offline transactions are approved, attaching “OL” to the beginning of the approval code. Once XCharge returns to online mode, all Offline transactions are automatically processed.

Transactions processed over the Offline Approval Limit are declined.
