Karchobi, a form of raised zari metallic thread embroidery ispopular in Rajasthan. It is created by applying flat stitches oncotton padding. Karchobi work can be seen on bridal andformal costumes. It is also done on velvet coverings, curtains,tent hangings and the coverings of animal carts and templechariots.
