Coding Workshop 10 -12 for Frontline Staff - Bring your own laptop! Craig Thomas from Codeclub will run a practical workshop on how to set up and develop a Codeclub, with an introduction to scratch programming.

13.15 - 16.30: Social Media - Marketing, Communication and Engagement Social Media guru, Phil Bradley, will talk about how libraries can use social media tools for best effect to engage with the communities they serve. This session is going to cover all you need to know about social media - where it is placed in today's internet, what it is and isn't, examples of different types of tool and activities. Phil will also give examples of how other library and information services are using social media resources. You will find this session useful if you want to search and retrieve data from social media resources, if you are looking for new ways to market and promote your services, or if you want to do more with less; the emphasis is always on tools that are free to use and quick to learn.
