LIBRARY NEWS Recent additions to our library collection are The Winter Guest, by Pam Jenoff, Norwegian by Night, by Derek B. Miller, The Garden of Letters, by Alyson Richman. Books are on the Shabbat cart at the rear of the sanctuary. Our next book study on Thursday, March 12th at 11:00 AM will be The Submission by Amy Waldman. We will meet in the Main Lobby. Our DVD collection is growing and includes some great sports films, including “The First Basket”, “Jews and Baseball”, “The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg”, and “The Tragedy of the Munich Games.” Contact Paula to borrow a DVD ([email protected]/764-4213 x23).

8:15 PM (after minyan), Wednesday, February 18, 2015 Art and text study session led by Cantorial Intern Sarah Myerson
Our heroine, Esther, is blessed with not only a book of the Tanakh named for her, but countless Talmudic midrashim about her. Many Megillot Esther are decorated with artistic midrashim, and artists through the ages have enjoyed painting this beautiful, courageous Jewish woman.
