Why do we honour the Shabbat?
Elohim rested on the 7th day after creating the earth and blessed it.Bereshith/Genesis 2:1-3 Shemoth/Exodus 20:11
In the beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the earth. It took him six days to
create everything and on the 7th day, he rested. Elohim set the 7th day apart from the rest of the days and blessed it.
It is a commandment given.
Shemoth/Exodus 20:8-11
It is an important commandment. Yah instructed us that six days of the week we labour, but on the 7th day we do no work. This includes your sons and daughters,
your male or female servants, your animals and the strangers who are within your gates.
It is a sign between Yah and his people.
Shemoth/Exodus 31:12-17
Guarding the Shabbats is a sign between us and Yah. Throughout all of our
generations we are to keep the Shabbats in order to know that he is setting us apart from the world.

Isaiah 13:-14
Make the Shabbat a delight to you and remember to focus on Yah on this day.
The hours that we have with Yahuah during this day is sacred and we should avoid having any unnecessary conversations that have nothing to do with Yah. Here are some examples - the best TV show series- the basketball game- the latest fashion trend- etc.
