SheLeads! partners with local schools to identify top-performing rising 9th graders, and after a competitive application and selection process, successful SheLeads! candidatesembark on a journey that will enhance their high school experience and change their lives.

Through interactive monthly sessions, SheLeads! participants learn valuable life skills, explore future career options, and strengthen their connectivity with themselves and the world around them.

Each SheLeads! session features a women’s group, corporate host, or a panel withinfluential women coming together to share their leadership journeys. As a SheLeads! participant, you will be paired with Champions for smaller group discussions, participate in fun activities and have mentorship opportunities and time for personal reflection.

In your third year of the SheLeads! experience, you will choose and design your own unique capstone service project to positively impact your community and support a cause that is important to YOU.

Why SheLeads!?• Unlike other leadership experiences that may only last a week or a month during

the summer, the SheLeads! experience is an in-depth, multi-year program designed especially to promote and uplift Mid-South girls.

• SheLeads! is a girls-only experience - designed and led by women - that provides a safe and supportive environment where girls can feel free to express themselves and reach their full potential.

• SheLeads! focuses on issues of unique importance to girls and provides girls with dedicated local mentors and role models to guide them and help them succeed.

• SheLeads! provides workshops and sessions that encourage girls to see their own leadership potential, inspire others, and utilize their skills to impact their community.

• Through SheLeads! girls develop an awareness of self and encourage appreciation for individuality and respect for others.

• SheLeads! teaches girls guiding principles that help influence them throughout life and encourages critical thinking and personal reflection.

• SheLeads! provides unique opportunities for support and local networking and the resources to promote achievement and turn participants’ ideas into action!

YEAR ONE ~ 9th GRADE Your first SheLeads! year fo-cuses on leadership as a service to the community. You will interact with local community leaders, participate in group activities, and conduct community service projects with your Champions. “Ser-vice Saturday” events will occur in September, November, January and March.

YEAR TWO ~ 10th GRADE SheLeads! year two focuses on developing leadership skills and utilizing them effectively. You will participate in hands-on leadership activities, network with female leaders, and explore your own personal leadership skills and style. 10th grade girls get the opportunity to mentor the new freshman SheLeads! class and participate in a special Summer Leadership Camp experience.

YEAR THREE - 11th GRADE During your junior year with SheLeads! you will focus on practical and experiential activities that foster a deeper enhancement and understanding of your own leadership capabilities. Junior girls will learn how to

learn evolve achieve dream succeedBE A PART OF THIS CHALLENGING AND UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

DESIGNED JUST FOR MID-SOUTH GIRLS!use these abilities by organizing and leading a unique capstone service project to address societal issues and create a lasting and meaningful impact. Your SheLeads! capstone project can also earn you service hours or project credit for other organizations in which you may be involved. Third-year SheLeads! girls will also receive assistance with their college selection, application and recommen-dation process.

YEAR FOUR - 12th GRADE As a senior SheLeads! par-ticipant, you serve as the penultimate role-model for the younger SheLeads! classes. During this year, you will continue to mentor to the younger girls who will benefit from your years of experience and success. Seniors are also able to assist with the planning and production of the SheLeads! program’s annual awards ceremony and fundraising event. As a senior, you will also be eligible for special college scholarship and travel opportunities available only to SheLeads! graduates.
