The tools and resources necessary to implement your new FOSS life science kit;
A thorough understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards for your grade level;
An ELA Performance Task using your grade level science content – plus tools and templates to create additional tasks;
Our Expected Outcomes Continued:
K-2: Strategies to use your school yard for outdoor field studies (a community-based field experience for your grade level to follow)
3-5: A community-based high impact field experience to implement in 2015-16

Things to Remember Check your schedule daily – the sessions take place
in a variety of locations. Be sure you’re at the right place at the right time.
Sign in each day for clock hours and pay. Clock hour forms will be completed at the end of
each session (up to 6 hours each day). Lunch is on your own. Bring a jacket if you’re going on the 4th grade trip to
Taylor Shellfish Farms – you’ll be in a refrigerator for about 20 minutes!
