Shire of Carnamah The Shire of Carnamah in the North Midlands region of Western Australia has an area of 2384 square kilometres. The towns of Carnamah and Eneabba are both situated in the Shire of Carnamah. Carnamah is located along the Midlands Road, 308km north or Perth. Eneabba is 278 kilometres north of Perth along the Brand Highway. Eneabba lies 65 kilometres west of Carnamah.
Agriculture is the main industry of the region with Mineral Sands mining in Eneabba one of the other local industries. Many local businesses have been established to assist farming practices and cater to visitors in the area. Tourism has become a major draw card to the area with the Shire of Carnamah renown as having one of the richest areas of wildflowers in Western Australia. Heritage, Arts and Culture are also important to visitors in the Carnamah Shire.
The Carnamah Historical Society Museum has a great display of objects from time gone by and the restored Macpherson Homestead is a must see location. The North Midlands Project located in Carnamah provides the region with a rich culture and arts program.
The natural environment of Carnamah and Eneabba are also valued. Lake Indoon and the Beekeepers Reserve in Eneabba are examples of two of these unique features. Carnamah has the Yarra Yarra Lake area which provides a stunning backdrop to the town.

LAKE INDOON Lake Indoon is situated approximately 12kms west of Eneabba and
19kms east of Indian Ocean Drive
Facilities include camping grounds, a tank for drinking water,
ablution facilities (sorry, no hot water) gas barbecues,
picnic shelters and a concrete boat ramp.
Dogs must be kept on a leash.
Campfires are prohibited, however, gas BBQ’s are permitted.
Off-road and 4WD vehicles (including motorbikes, ATV’s and beachbuggies)
are prohibited from the Reserve
It is requested that people and vehicles stick to designated tracks
Up-to-date information regarding the water level of the Lake is available
by calling the Carnamah Shire Office on 9951 7000 or on our website
www.carnamah.wa.gov.au
Until further notice, there are no camping fees payable
(maximum of 3 nights) at Lake Indoon
The Carnamah Caravan Park has20 powered sites and 20 unpowered sites
