DiscoverThe only NCDT-accredited drama school in the West MidlandsBirmingham School of Acting exists to engage with and develop the art form of acting, theatre and performance-related training. Through our NCDT-accredited undergraduate and postgraduate acting courses, we support individuals in realising their potential as creative, entrepreneurial artists. Our focus is on excellence in teaching, aided by a willingness to embrace new or different perspectives and the flexibility to confront issues that drive contemporary culture. We aim to provide practical and philosophical reference points that will stay with our students throughout their creative lives.

Our graduates have gone on to careers in stage, screen and broadcast. They have appeared in major TV series (Eastenders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, The Bill and many others); in West End musicals, regional repertory theatres, Theatre in Education companies and Hollywood movies; and worked with institutions such as the Royal National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company. In addition to those on the cover, we count among our alumni Nicol Williamson, Karl Johnson, Jimi Mistry, Luke Mably, Katie Leeming, Tom Lister, Kieran Hill, Remi Nicole and many others.

A vibrant, adaptable organisation, Birmingham School of Acting (BSA) actively seeks, supports and develops spirited individuals with the desire and ability to excel. The School occupies two purpose-built floors in Millennium Point - the landmark building of Birmingham's Eastside cultural and learning quarter. Complementing work in our blackbox theatre, the Patricia Yardley Studio, we use external venues for all public performances, ensuring that our students gain industry experience within professional theatre spaces and environments whilst they train.
