Registration Fee Rs.100/- for UG/PG student and

Research Scholar, Rs.250/- for faculties of engineering

colleges approved by AICTE, Rs. 500/- for professionals

from Private/Govt. Sectors. The Registration fees include

participation kit, refreshment and lunch. Accommodation

facility will be provided on payment basis. Prior

conformation is mandatory for accommodation. No

TA/DA will be paid. Certificates will be issued on

Introduction The world today is witnessing sea change in

infrastructural development. Innovative

technologies are bringing in sustainable

development around the globe. As a developing

country, India is going through enormous

infrastructural advancement in housing, roads,

railways, airports and city planning. The

construction industry is the second largest industry

of the country after agriculture. To match the pace

of development, various innovative methods are

being used in construction industry as well as in

allied disciplines. It makes a significant

contribution to the national development and

provides employment to large number of people.

The developments of infrastructure projects require

civil engineers in large numbers, who coordinates

and leads the infrastructure projects for successful

completion of projects. Knowledge of new

construction technologies and deployment of

project management strategies are required to

manage very complex infrastructure projects. This

Workshop aims to enlighten about the recent trends

and the challenges faced in the diversified fields of

Civil Engineering. We aim to deliberate on and

discuss the various recent applications and

innovative methods applied in the field of Civil

Engineering.

Objective of Workshop The main objective of this workshop is to educate

academician, professionals and students about the

overall planning, coordination and control of a

construction project from inception to completion

aimed at meeting a client’s requirements in order to

produce functionally and financially viable

projects. Technical lectures will be provided by

Eminent Resource Persons, Academic Institutions

like as IITs & NITs and Industries.

About SPCE Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering-Visnagar was

Established in 1999 by Nootan Sarva Vidhyalay Kelvani

Mandal-Visnagar with an aim of producing world class

professionals in the specialized fields of Engineering and

Management sciences. The Institute is affiliated to

Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad also

approved by All India Council for Technical Education

AICTE (New Delhi).

About Civil Engineering Department

The Department of Civil Engineering came into

existence in the year 2008. The department has

experience faculty members with specialization in

various areas. The department offers B. E. programme in

Civil Engineering and facilitated with well equipped state

of the art laboratories. Students also undergo extensive

Practical Training on construction sites during the final

year that correlate their studies with actual constructions

at various sites and strengthen their knowledge. The

Dept. organizes expert lectures, group discussions,

competitions, sports and other activities for the all-round

development of the Civil Engineering students.
