effect.

3 NOTICES TO COMPETITORS

3.1 Notices to competitors will be posted on the event website online Official Notice Board

(ONB) http://www.trofeocondegodo.com/es and through notifications on the boat’s

private area on the event website.

3.2 The Race Office will be located at club social building , telephone 93 221 65 21

esplanade where the RCNB crane is located. The MFP will display the RCNB pennant to

identify it as such.

5.2 When code flag ‘AP’ is displayed ashore, the wording “1 minute” in code flag AP rule is

replaced by “not less than 60 minutes”. (This changes signal AP in the RRS signals).

When a visual signal is displayed over a group/groups or class/classes flag, such signal

applies only to the indicated group/groups or class/classes.

6 SCHEDULE OF RACES

6.1 The racing schedule and format will be as shown in the Notice of Race.

Championship. No more than 3 races per day will be sailed.

8 RACING AREAS

8.1 There will be one racing area (ALPHA area) as established in Appendix B1

9 COURSES

9.1 Courses will be windward-leeward.

See Appendix B1 and B2-a for ORC 0, 1 & 2 and B2-b for ORC 3 & 4

9.2 Appendixes B2 show the courses lay out, including the order in which marks are to be

rounded or passed and the side each mark must be left to.

9.3 No later than the warning signal, the Race Committee signal boat will display:

a) The approximate compass bearing from the starting line to mark 1;

b) Distance in miles between marks 2 (gates) and mark 1;

c) ICS pennant numeral of the course to be sailed.

9.4 The position of the marks indicated in Appendix B2 is approximate, so that a difference

shall not be grounds for redress. The real position of marks will be used to calculate the

distances of the legs for the purpose of time compensation.

9.5 The gate can be replaced by one only mark. In such case, it will be left to port.

10 MARKS

10.1 Windward mark 1 and offset mark 1 will be a cylindrical, inflatable, red mark for ORC 0,

1 and 2.

Windward mark 1 will be a spherical inflatable, yellow mark for ORC 3 and 4

102 Gate marks (2P and 2S) will be cylindrical, inflatable, red marks.

The starting area is defined as the rectangle covering a 100metre area to windward and

leeward of the starting line and a 50metre area outwards of each end of the line.

11.3 A boat that does not start within the four minutes after her valid starting signal shall be

scored Did Not Start (DNS) without a hearing. This changes RRS A5.1 and A5.2.

remove the original mark as soon as practical, will move the downwind gate or will

move the finishing line and will remove the original mark as soon as possible. When in a

subsequent change a new mark is laid, this will be replaced with an original mark.

12.2 In a change of course in which the position of the windward mark is changed, the offset

mark will not be repositioned, being removed from the course.

13 THE FINISH

The finishing line will be between the mast displaying a blue flag on the RC boat and a

cylindrical, inflatable, red mark (See Course Appendixes).

14 TIME LIMITS

14.1 The time limit for each boat will be calculated in accordance with the average value of

its theoretical prediction in the beat to windward and downwind for 6 knots of wind

(UP6 +D6)/2 and the real course length of the race in miles (M), as per RTC 2021-2024

(see 2021), Rule 205.

Time limit = ((K x ((BEAT VMG 6 + RUN VMG 6)/2) x M)

The value of factor K is 1.2

14.2 Boats finishing after their time limit will be scored “Did Not Finish” (DNF) without a

hearing. This changes RRS 35, A5.1 and A5.2.

15 REQUESTS FOR HEARINGS

15.1 Protest forms, requests for redress and reopening forms are available on the website

online Official Notice Board and under Documents in the boat’s private area and must

the points discarding the worse score.

16.4 Results for ORC Classes will be established in accordance with the RFEV’s RTC rule 204.
