Inventions
The Chinese worked on the Great Wall for over 1700 years…
But the wall was not a solid wall at first. It was a line of disconnected barricades.
The wall (or walls) was built to keep out invaders.
Workers died of exhaustion and disease.
It is known as the longest cemetery in the world.

Built by Qin Shi Huang DiFound in 1974 by 2 farmers digging a

were found!Archaeologists believe they were made
of red clay dug from the earth. The artisans coiled the clay, shaped and added detail to it, let part of it dry and then added more on top.

It allowed the trade of silk, jade, iron, silver, ivory and IDEAS!
It was excellent for nomadic people! They became more important to the
cities- good at transporting goods in caravans, most became herders and traders, and they became resistant to diseases
