To form the Past Simple add ED to the infinitive form
If the verb finishes in E, just add D
HOW TO FORM THE PAST SIMPLE – REGULAR VERBS

If the verb finishes in CVC (consonant+verb+consonat)we double de last consonat
before ED.
STOP – STOPPED
DROP – DROPPED
STUDY – STUDIED
MARRY – MARRIED
If the verb finishes in Y and is preceded by a consonant, drop
the Y and add IED

These verbs do not receive ED, and their past are
different or the same, we must follow the list of the
regular verbs or the dictionary to know and learn
it.
