Unlike a museum, in a science centre you are

encouraged to touch and play with objects. Natural

We do not learn to ride a bike by reading about it in

bubbles it is irrelevant how much we understand

about physics. Active participation and our own

personal experience are the keys to learning by doing.

« Hands on! »

«Hands on» means exactly that for everything

you will encounter at the Swiss Science Center

Technorama – whether in the main exhibition with

over 500 experiment stations or in the temporary

exhibition, each of which lets you learn more about

a fascinating topic. Spectacular demonstrations

such as the lightning show amaze young and old alike.

In our laboratories we offer exciting workshops on

topics from the fields of biology, chemistry or physics.

Each of the 45-minute workshops is led by an expert

in the subject. In our OpenLabs you can carry out simple

experiments independently.

Our AdventureRooms offer the prospect of a

thrilling experience. Within a given time slot, you are

tasked with finding the way out of a locked room

by solving puzzles related to natural phenomena.

Technorama’s park (open from April to late October)

is a great place to linger. You can discover the

sundials and a wind machine that can produce

hurricane-force blasts!

If you need to recharge your batteries after all these

exciting experiences, why not visit the self-service

restaurant or enjoy your packed lunch in our picnic

area or open-air park? And for a very special souvenir,

in the Technorama shop you will find a wide variety

of interesting items to experiment on at home.
