FSO-5 PROJECT

As informed by The Hanoi Timeson 15 January, 2009 – „A floating storage and offloading unit (FSO) which has a capacity of 150,000 tonnes, the FSO5, was successfully launched today by the Nam TrieuShipbuilding Industrial Corporation. This is the biggest vessel built by Vietnamese shipbuilders so far.

FSO5, built for the PetrovietnamTechnical Services Corporation (PTSC), is over 258 meters long, 46 meters wide.”

The FSO-5 was designed by SINUS Ltd. Co., (Poland) and examined by the GL/ABS andthe Vietnam Register of Shipping. The vessel is 276.14 meters long, 46.4 meters wide, and 24 meters high and will be equipped with three engines with a capacity of 800-1,200 KW. FSO5 can store and supply crude oil to refinery with an output of 3,500-5,000 cubicmetres an hour.

NAVAL ARCHITECTURE / MARINE ENGINEERING / MARINE CONSULTING

SINUS Ltd was set up in 24.04.1989 to provide high class technical service for the vessels of different types. It was headed by TomaszLacki, assisted by a team of highly qualified Naval Architects / Marine Engineers who had came from former ship design and construction office of Gdansk Shipyard Ltd. All of them are licensed engineer. The team of designers, headed by Wlodzimierz Lacki —formerly senior Naval Architect of Gdansk Shipyard Design-Office, brought to the company their experience gained during years of practice based on hundreds of vessels delivered to different owners all over the world.

Since June 2001 SINUS has completed ISO 9001 requirements confirmed by CERTIFICATE.Now the company is in the process renewal the ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATE (in three Authority: DnV, GL and PRS) and the new ISO 14001 CERTIFICATE implementation.

Since 2001 SINUS has managed the co-operation with Faculty of Ocean Engineering & Ship Technology in Gdansk University of Technology.
