Precious in the sight of the LORD is the deathof his saints Psalm 116:15...Gailya Devota Myers (Sister Gail) completed her journey onJune 5, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. in Virginia. Bornto parents Nora and Gale Myers on April 23,1919, she was called to carry the gospel toMexico. Sis Gail spent her life ministering toMexico, Panama, San Blas Islands and Co-lumbia Her. Homecoming Celebration wasJune 18, 2009 at the Bristow campgrounds. The scripture in Job 14 : 5 Seeing his daysare determined, the number of his monthsare with thee.. was brought home when thetiming of her death coincided with Bristowcamp meeting. How she loved being therewith all her friends! Thursday morning ser-vice was dedicated to the homecoming cel-ebration of Gail Myers! The crowd stood inhushed reverence as her casket was carriedpast a line of honorary pallbearers one lasttime to the front at Bristow camp meet-ing.
The service was a fitting tribute to thissoldier of faith. It seemed all attendingand participating in the service felt we were part of our churchhistory in this salute to a legend.
Countless times Sis. Gail had expressed her wish, to die on amountaintop in Mexico with her boots on! The passion ofher spirit still burned bright and her calling was still strong evenwhen her physical strength failed. When it was apparent to
everyone that her days on the mission field were completedshe continued to make plans to return just as soon as, Shegot to feeling better! At her death her boots may not havebeen planted on a mountain top in Mexico, but her heart was
there!Sister Gail leaves behind countless spiritualsons and daughters. Her legacy of pioneer-ing churches, building training centers, radiobroadcasts and financial support for the min-istry still lives on across Mexico and CentralAmerica. Her legacy will live on, not only inher work, but also in our hearts.
Brother Neil Bridges, the President of FullGospel Holiness Missions led the service andshared stories of her courage, determinationand dedication.
Brother Fred Wiley read the obituary quot-ing Shakespeares Mark Antony , Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend meyour ears; I come to bury Caesar, not topraise him;The good is oft interred
with their bones He shared that we came together today notjust to bury, but to praise Sis. Gail, and we would not be inter-ring the good she had done. Her work will live on through theministers and churches in Mexico and Central America.Joe and Sharon Armbrister moved us to tears with their beau-tiful rendition of Welcome to Heaven!

ARTICLES of FAITHThe object for which it is formed is: To preach the Gospel ofJesus Christ, and promote a better understanding among all breth-ren.
The Word of God alone shall be the Doctrine, Practice, and Discipline of this Board of Members: it being understoodthat we receive it as the inspired Word of God and the Divinerule of faith and conduct.
We believe in God the Father Almighty. Maker of heavenand earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, who wasconceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, sufferedunder Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried andarose on the third day according to the Scriptures, afterwardsascended into heaven where He is now seated at the right handof God the Father, from whence He is come again to judge thequick and dead.
We believe in Water Baptism and that it should beadministered to every believer according to the Scriptures givenby St. Matthew 3:17;28:19; St. Mark 16:15; Acts 8:36-38. Weteach that the Blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth from all sin, andsanctifies the believer, thus making him or her eligible to re-ceive the gift of the Holy Ghost which is given to them thatobey (Acts 5:32) and the evidence of such experience shall beaccording to Acts 2:4.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the Commu-nion of the saints, the Lords Supper and washing the saintsfeet. We believe that divine healing for our physical bodies wasincluded in His suffering as mentioned by the prophet Isaiah53:5. It is still available to all who meet conditions and accord-ing to His will (James 5:14).
We believe that all ministers should be of good report (1Timothy 3:7-12) including Pastors, Evangelists, Deacons andElders (Titus 1:5-7); and husbands of one wife.
We believe the Church of Jesus Christ to be a livingOrganism. The Body of Christ, and habitation of God throughthe Spirit (Ephesians 2:20-22), and that each true believer is amember of the Body (1 Corinthians 12:14; Acts 2:47).

Greetings, dear readers! The lifeof every Christian is based upon prayer. The most praying man in the Bible is Jesus. No one prayed more than Him. He spentthe night in prayer not only in the gardenbut many times upon the mountain. TheBible also tells us the name of the firstpraying man Enos. His name meansdeath. Men pray when they realize thatthey are going to die.
The ministry of every evangelistis based upon prayer. Praying Hydeprayed for weeks with very little sleep orfood. Charles G. Finney sent his menbefore him to pray for a city. They renteda hotel and prayed day and night until bythe time that Finney arrived the bars wereready to close and the factories shut downto hear the preaching of the gospel.
The ministry of the circuit riderswho brought the gospel to the Americanfrontier was based on prayer. PeterCartwright stopped at an inn to spend thenight, unaware that there was a dancescheduled that night. A young womandecided to be funny and asked the fa-mous preacher to dance with her. PeterCartright took her hand and led her ontothe floor and spoke to the room. I neverdo anything without asking Gods bless-ing on it. He began to pray and the younggirl fell to her knees and began to begGod to save her. They started a revivalthere that night.
A ministry based upon prayer willproduce a minister with a good attitude
a good spirit. Bro. Lester Moore toldyoung preachers, Youre attitude willmake or break you. You can preachthe truth, but your preaching can be soharsh that the truth is hidden behind theattitude. The Gospel of Christ is holyand lovely. You cannot leave the holyout of the gospel, but neither can youleave out the lovely. You can feed hogscorn, or you can take large ears of it andhit them over the head. If you hit themhard and long enough you will kill theminstead of feed them. It is not alwayswhat you preach, but how you preach it,that can win or lose souls.
One pastor was asked if he everinvited anyone to church. No, he re-plied, they know where the church isand if they want to come, they will. Thatpreacher had a loveless attitude and thatspirit will never win souls to Christ. Hereminds me of the story that the old warhorse of the east, Elder Vince Wilson, told. He heard a man loudly ask God forignorance. Bro. Vince said, He doesntneed to ask God for more of it, hes al-ready blessed with plenty.
One of the key parts of this lov-ing attitude is patience Patience withpeople and patience with the timing ofGods work. I heard of one mans prayerfor patience. God give me patience andgive it to me RIGHT NOW, he said. But were only going to get patiencewhen we patiently endure persecution(Romans 5:3). Elijah got impatient withGod in I Kings 19:4. He asked God tokill him. If he had just been a little morepatient and waited around in Jezreel afew more days, Jezebel would have takencare of that for him.
Elijah didnt really want to die.He wanted to see Gods work advanceand he lost patience in the midst of tribu-lation. But when God got through withhim Elijah was willing to wait. He wentand threw his mantle over Elisha andElisha liked the feeling of that mantle somuch that he followed Elijah around forthe next several years waiting to own it.

trust in her! Brother Darrell shared his memories of Sister Gailand a poem he had written for her.
Who is Gail Myers?A woman, a preacher, a teacher, a mis-
sionary, a friend, a companion, a pioneer,a legend.
A founder, a president, an administrator, amanager, an author, a navigator, a trav-
eler who went by air, land & sea.To bring the Gospel to the last, the lost &
the least.By car, by truck, by train & plane, even
by horse, burro & bus.She paddled &
peddled, abicycle too, allto preach theGospel, to me
& to you.
The Toliver Triodid a beautiful jobon Is This Notthe Land ofBeulah.BrotherDan Robertsbrought the clos-ing prayer and re-
marks. As the crowd passed by to pay their lastrespect the Milikens sang a selection of songs in-cluding.. Thank you for giving to the Lord.. Iam a life that was changed.. A song that wasechoed in the hearts of hundreds that said theirfinal goodbye to Gail Myers.
The pallbearers were: Aaron Brock Darrell TolliverDarrell Meadows,Floyd Parks, JoeArmbrister JohnDavid Long. Hon-orary Pallbearersincluded NeilBridges Ben ShawDan Roberts,Manuel GuerraIgnacio MoralezMike Flowers ,DonRich, Leon Richand Tommy Tolliver. Interpreter MartiBette from Panama
interpreted the entire service to the ministers and families fromMexico.
Brother Don Rich shared memories and used the scriptures inRomans 10:14-15 How then shall they call on him in whomthey have not be-lieved? and how shallthey believe in him ofwhom they have notheard? and how shallthey hear without apreacher? And howshall they preach, ex-cept they be sent? asit is written, Howbeautiful are the feetof them that preachthe gospel of peace, and bring glad tidingsof good things! Em-phasizing the last part of that verse..how beautifulare the feet of them that preach the gospel.
Donita Wiggins reminded us of the call that we all asChristians can answer when she sung Cosechar(Harvestime in Spanish) Recuerdos (memories)were shared by Brother Ignacio Moralez , Presidentof Full Gospel Missions of Mexico. Brother ManuelGuerra shared hisstory how SisterGail would come totheir village until hisentire family hadbeen saved andfilled with the HolyGhost. He toldhow Sister Gailhelped his start hisministry and laterradio ministry.Tears ran down hisface as he sharedthe last time he waswith Sister Gailhow she took his hand and asked for his promiseto keep preaching the gospel. The Eastern Gatewas sung as a congregational led by Brother JoeArmbrister.
Brother Ben Shaw brought the main message andhad us laughing and crying as he challenged anyman there to step in her footsteps. He read to u sthe Proverbs 31 woman. He brought Sister Gailslegacy to life as he compared her life to each scrip-ture in the chapter. He said Sister Gail was totallydevoted and married to her work and her husbandJesusand the heart of her husband Jesus, does safely

A SPONTANEOUS HESITATION
Spontaneous- Occurring naturallywithout planning....
Pentecostal Holiness people aresupposed to be spontaneous when itcomes to the Spirit of God. Often wehesitate to long in obeying theunctioning of the Holy Ghost. Peterspontaneously obeys Christs commandand walks on the water. Isaiah sponta-neously offers himself to God. But justas important as a spontaneous reactionto the Holy Ghost, there must be aspontaneous hesitation to the Devilsdeals.
In Genesis 25, there were two teenagetwin boys in this story. Their nameswere Esau and Jacob. Their birth wasvery unique. Esau was born first and ashe was being delivered somethinggrabbed a hold of his heel and itwouldnt let go. It was Jacob. (Andyou thought your brothers and sisterswere a pest.) As they grew older, Esaubecame a man of the field and becamea hunter. Jacob was a plain man andtended to the cattle which were inthose days the perfect employment.
They were around 15 years old whenone day Jacob was selling pottagewhich was like a stew and here comeEsau in from hunting all day and was
faint. Esau smells the pottage and saysto Jacob, Feed me I pray thee forIm faint (starving half to death.) Jacobsays, Sell me this day thy birth-right? He makes Esau a deal. Whatis his birthright? Well, Im glad youasked. First of all, next to the father thefirstborn had superiority over the restof the family. Secondly, the firstborngot a double portion of his fathersinheritance. There were other privi-leges that came with the birthright. Hesays to himself, Im at the point ofdeath so what good is this birthright. He despised his birthright. Jacob makeshim swear to him. Esau DOES NOThesitate he says, SOLD! SOLD!SOLD! SOLD!
The Devil wants to make a deal withyou for your birthright. Your birthright isyour salvation, the Holy Ghost, yourconvictions, and your destination. But,there must be a spontaneous hesitationwhen you hear an offer from thedeceiver. Satan will do what ever ittakes to get you to say YES to hisdeal. If you fail to hesitate and you signon the dotted line, hell give you morethan you thought just so youll feel likeyou got a good deal. Jacob gave Esaubread with his pottage to make the deallook better, but it didnt take him long torealize he shouldve hesitated. Thebirthright meant more to him than hethought. He wasnt as faint as hethought he was. He exaggerated justfor the here and now and it cost himeverything. He despised his birthrightuntil he became aware of its value andthen it was too late.
Young folks, you must realize the valueof your birthright. If you dont the devilwill entice you with a deal and the fleshwont let you hesitate to say SOLD.Just like in fishing you try to entice thatfish to bite the bait while all the whilethe hook is waiting inside. Prov.1:10states My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. Jam.1:14 says Butevery man is tempted, when he isdrawn away of his own lust, andenticed. Satan is fishing for you andusing whatever it takes to entice you
and get you to bite. You must have aspontaneous hesitation before youchomp down on what you think is goodfor you.
Theres been a multitude of people thatdidnt spontaneously hesitate and tookthe Devil up on his offer. People suchas Lot who chose Sodom & Gomorrahover Abraham, Achan who chose theBabylonian garment, 200 shekels ofsilver, and a wedge of gold over hisfamily, then theres Demas who chosethe world over Paul. But you donthave to look in the Bible to see peoplewhove taken the Devils offer withoutconsidering what they were doing. How many friends of ours that at onetime worshipped with us and was in ouryouth groups and choirs and becausethey didnt hesitate to the enticersoffer, he reeled them in. Even if yougain the whole world, its still not agood deal. What good is it to have a fullbelly but an empty soul?
Somewhere along the way you willbecome faint and the devil will be thereto make you a deal. Instead of jumpingat the deal and living for the present, letthere be a spontaneous hesitationbecause Is.40:28-31tells us Hast thounot known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? Thereis no searching for his understand-ing. He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might heincreaseth strength. Even theYOUTH shall faint and be weary, and the YOUNG men shall utterlyfall: But they that wait upon the Lordshall renew their strength; they shallmount up with wings as eagles; theyshall run, and not be weary; andthey shall walk, and not faint. Theremust be a spontaneous hesitation whenthe deceiver makes us a deal.
Its been a pleasure to have spoken toyou in these few articles. Thanks toBro. Parks for asking me. May GodBless You

Her Last Days...By Nancy Edenfield
Being raised in holiness all of my life, the name Gail Myers had a special mean-ing to me. As a child, it was a treat whenSis. Gail would stay in our home and tellof her experiences on the mission field. As a young boy, my husband, Gary, shared the same love for her; so, whenthe Lord placed a special burden on hisheart to move her to Virginia to overseeher care, I felt it quite an honor.
Having the starting signs of Alzheimer, she was placed in a nursing home inEdinburg, Texas and there was no oneto see that she was properly cared for.So, in January 2005, we flew to Edinburgand brought her to Elkton, VA. Bro. Alvinand Sis. Donna Dovel, who have a smallassisted living facility in their home, of-fered to keep Sis. Gail there. We appre-ciate so much the kindness that theyshowed and thank them for their laborof love in caring for her during her stay
there.
At that point, she was able to get around pretty well on herown. She loved to go. I would take her out for lunch and, on afew occasions, put her in a wheelchair for a shopping trip. Ifyou knew Sis. Gail very well, you know what an independentperson she was. She didnt really like the idea of having to bepushed around so every time I stopped to look at something, Iwould turn around and she would be gone. I would find herwheeling her way around, proving she could do it on her own!

Those were fun times for both of us.She loved to come to our house and visit. She would stay as many days at a timeas she could and always told me howgrateful she was for us. She said she hadno family so we were her family. Shewas Mama Gail to us. She would singall the verses of Do Lord, Oh Do Re-member Me in English and then in Span-ish. We heard it so much we could allsing along in Spanish with her! Even tillthe end of her life, she never missed alick! She spent the holidays with us, whenwe were home. She especially lovedChristmas time. Sitting for hours andwatching me decorate was a highlight forher! Most of all, sheloved to go tochurch. She at-tended faithfullywhile she was able.We were fortunateto be able to take herto BristowCampmeeting inBristow, OK, and toFairland Camp meet-ing in Fouke, AR. Sheenjoyed these trips somuch.
She was also asked to speak at a mis-sions conference in Roanoke, VA. Shespoke of how God needed a little lawnmower to get into the corners of the field. Some missionaries were the big ridingmowers that cut the easier lawns, but Godhad used her as a little push mower to gointo the tougher places- the corners shesaid. She had a great thought and didamazingly well!
In December, 2007, she suffered astroke. She had two hemorrhages on thebrain and the doctors said she would notlive through the day. But, in four daysshe was out of intensive care singingChristmas songs to the doctor. He couldnot believe it. He said this was totally im-possible! She had to be taken to a nurs-ing home for rehabilitation. She was suchan inspiration to the people who caredfor her. I cant tell you how many nursesand residents alike read her book and wasso inspired by the life she had lived.
Because of her steadily declining health,we often wondered why the Lord waskeeping her here when it seemed life wasreally over for her. But, little did we know, her work was not done! One of her physi-cal therapists, Kim, told me a story oneday and I never had to question again. She said she went in every morning, aswell as several other nurses, to get herblessing from Mama Gail. She would prayfor them before they started their dailyroutine. But, this particular morning wasdifferent. She prayed for her then pattedher stomach and said, Its coming! Justhold on its coming! Kim didnt have aclue what she was talking about. She
couldnt have chil-dren. Having fourmiscarriages, shehad never carried ababy over threemonths. But, theday she told me ofthe experience, shesaid, Im sixmonths pregnant! Iwas pregnant thenand didnt know it.The baby was born
in February and Kim took her to seeMama Gail just a few days before herpassing. Her faith in God made a lastingimpression in the lives many!
She would often cry and talk about howbad she wanted to go to Heaven. Shetalked of her mother, Bro. C.M. Butler, and other saints who had gone on andhow she wanted to go meet them. OnJune 5, 2009, that dream became a real-ity. I had been called to the nursing homeearlier in the week and knew her end wasvery near. Thursday evening and all thruthe night, we never left her side. As wetried to cool her fevered brow, we talkedand sang to her about Heaven. At 9:30that Friday morning, I was singing IWont Have To Cross Jordan Alonewhen she peacefully crossed over. I willalways cherish the moments I spent withher. They will forever be close to myheart. She left a legacy and may the workshe has done speak for her!
Sis. Nancy Edenfield
She was also asked to speak at amissions conference in Roanoke,
VA. She spoke of how God neededa little lawn mower to get into the
corners of the field. Some mission-aries were the big riding mowers
that cut the easier lawns, but Godhad used her as a little pushmower to go into the tougher
places- the corners she said.
From Georgia...
The Greek wordused for church
when Jesus said, upon this rockI will build my church is ekklesia whichmeans a calling out. So we could besafe to say that the church is the collec-tive body of Christians who have beencalled out of sin unto fellowship withJesus Christ.
We have the privilege of ministering toa unique part of the bride of Christ. Thisportion of the bride could rightfully becalled the church behind the wire. It isthose who are incarcerated have notbeen set free from their debt to societyand punishment for their crimes.
We have began a ministry called theLower Lights Evangelism & PrisonMinistries. With a burden that the wholecounsel of God needed to be taught andpreached in the Prison systems, we re-signed from pastoral work in July, 2006.This ministry is dependent upon theprovisions of our Lord through reviv-als, special services, and the support ofGods people as they feel the burden togive into this mission project.
Within the prison systems we have foundhearts that have never been touched bythe preaching of the full gospel. Imag-ine a island with over 50,000 people onit. Upon this Island there are diverse cul-tures from all over the world. This Is-land is the G eorgia Department of Cor-rections. These are hardened criminals,or just simply good boys and girls, ormen and women who made senselessdecisions or got with the wrong crowdat the wrong time. These include somepeople that should be, and some that inreality should not be in prison.
The longer we labor in this field the morewe realize the need of taking truth andencouragement to the church behind thewire.

From Florida...This is Bro Jeff Raisor from CrystalSprings, Florida. My wife and I are pioneering a HolinessChurch in Florida. We are now buying a Church in CrystalSprings. It is a country Church built in 1968 and has beenempty for 2 years and we are buying it from a Baptist
Church. The purchase price is $150,000.00 and it has 2 acres of ground with a fellow-ship hall and a small 1969 trailer for us to live in. We prayed earnestly over this Churchand felt the leading of God to step out on faith and pioneer a Holiness Church. Wesought advice from Godly men such as Bro Hisel Carpenter, Bro Chris Whiffen, Bro DavidLamb and Bro Carlos Burdine on this Church and they all prayed with us for this Church.Bro Hisel Carpenter walked the grounds with us before purchasing the Church andlooked over the buildings also. Bro Carpenter has been a great advisor to us in our effortswith the Church as other Holiness men have too.It is our burden for this area to win souls for God. We started on Easter Sunday Morningand now it will soon be 3 months and we are seeing the GREAT HAND OF GOD movingfor us. We actually started with only 4 of us and that is including my wife and myself andnow we have 16. We had a furniture store just this last week donate a big huge deepfreeze to our Church. My wife and another sister is putting up vegetables and sellingthem to raise money for the debt of the Church. We had a business donate things as welllike a fire extinguisher and many other things. We have been out knocking on doors andnow we are starting to pass out tracts and many other things I have a vision for this areathat God is going to help us build a Holiness Church right here. Our Church name isCalvary Pentecostal Mission and our address is P.O. Box 474 Crystal Springs, Florida33524 and our phone # is 813-277-4095. Thank-you and God Bless you!
