Doom 1: Heatwave

First dawn is hot, and second dawn even hotter. It’s unseasonable for this part of the world. Farmers wake up sweaty and annoyed. There is precious little conversation as they trudge the dusty paths to the fields.

Doom 2: Earthquakes

Suddenly, the earth is trembling beneath your feet. Gasps and screams surround you. People are flung to the ground, clinging to clumps of grass seemingly for dear life as small stones are thrown into the air. Great

cracking sounds can be heard for miles, and you can see even the tops of the peaks of Irongate trembling like saplings in a breeze.

Deal 1 damage to any revealed units in Hardscrabble, Irongate, Mon Mastiff, and Eaglepeak.

Doom 3: Disaster

The land has been uneasy since the earthquakes. In the evening, you gaze upon Eaglepeak, sure that the Queen is working diligently to relieve her people.

As you gaze, the mountains seem to shimmer on the horizon. You rub your eyes wearily. It shimmers again.

Someone nearby murmurs in wonder. You look over, surprised that others seem to see it, too.

His eyes widen and you look back at the mountains. The shimmer has become a full-on shiver. The shiver turns into a shake. And then the tops blow off, five huge cones of stone soaring atop gouts of flame and shatter-

ing apart in the night sky.

Huge shadows, easily visible even from this distance, seem to slither out of the broken peaks and slide into the air like monstrous clouds.

Your camp is in chaos. Eaglepeak stands stricken on the horizon. The moons above it seem to glow red in the lurid light of bubbling fires.

Time seems to move in slow-motion as you search your mind for answers. Towards Eaglepeak, still to the Queen? Where is she now? Is she alive?

Your camp is struck and the men will not abide staying put. Your questions about the Queen are answered in stunning fashion when fluttering banners appear in the distance, rapidly closing on your position.

Once again, even in the confusion, you are ensorcelled by the Queen’s eyes when she lowers her hood.

“Kelly,” (she remembered your name!), “it is wonderful to see you again. What a fine Legion you have brought me. It is needed now. We must travel to Oystermouth at once and reckon with this terror.”

Place the Queensguard unit in your zone.

Place 5 Terrorlings in Eaglepeak.
