Let’s add some battlements to the top of our castle. First we will add a ridge around the top of the walls. Starting at one of the corners, draw a line away from the corner and away from the wall horizontally.

Continue the line down vertically, parallel with the wall, click to end the line at a point not connected to the wall.

Take the line back in horizontally and end it at the edge of the wall, completing a small rectangle face.

We are going to use a new tool to extrude this rectangular face all around the top of the walls. Double click on the top face of the walls to select both face and edges.

From the ‘Tools’ menu, select the ‘Follow Me’ tool.

Then click on the face of the rectangle we created.

An extruded form of the rectangle will instantly appear all along the top of the walls.

Using the ‘Eraser’ tool (found in the toolbar) click on the additional line that has been left along the top of each wall to delete them.

In the same way we created the windows, now use the ‘Line’ and ‘Push/Pull’ tools to create battlements along this top edge.

The ‘Follow Me’ tool cannot be used on curved edges so we have to create the edge for battlements slightly differently. Using the ‘Offset’ tool, create another circle around the top of each tower, slightly larger than the tower diameter.

Extrude this outer face down using the ‘Push/Pull’ tool and delete the additional circle line. Instead of drawing lines on the curved outer face for creating battlements, draw segments on the top circular face. Use the guides that automatically show to position the lines around the circle.

Use the ‘Push/Pull’ tool to push the battlements downwards.

We now have a completed basic castle.
