“To be as witnesses in attesting Tauhiid, we are commanded to
uphold Justice. By justice, we have the terms “qistw ” and
“‘adalah” with their profound significations quite different from
the English word “justice” generally understood.
Thus our understanding of Adab connotes this imperative
towards Justice, tampered with Ihsan and generosity.

A man came to the Prophet s.a.w. seeking his permission to
participate in Jihad (battle in defence of Islam). He was asked: “Are
your parents alive?” He replied: “Yes!” The Prophet s.a.w. said to him :
“Then go and be with them and Jihad (exert service towards them) .”
