Shri. U.K. Ananthapadmanabhan, President CMA and presided by Mr. O. A. Balasubraminam, Secretary
CMA & Shri. K. Senthil Ganesh, Managing Trustee RVS Educational Trust.

SADHANA '11 – The National Level Inter Collegiate Management Meet
Sadhana '11 – The National Level Inter Collegiate Management Meet was conducted on January
28, 2011 with the core objective of nurturing future managers. The meet was inaugurated by Mr.
U.K Anandhapadmanabhan, President Kovai Medical Center & Hospital, Coimbatore. The Meet
consisted of four events namely Business Quiz, Best Management Team, Best Business Leader and
the Best Business Plan. It was a grand success with 34 B-Schools participating from various parts of
South India. The Meet could mobilize around 285 delegates to the contesting arena and those
budding Managers were enabled with opportunities to sharpen their talents and skills in different
platforms by competing in various events.
Entrepreneurship Development Cell @ RVS IMS To visualize our vision of creating global business leaders, an Entrepreneurship Development Cell was established in association with the
National Entrepreneurship Network to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit in the students.
SMARAN '11 – First Alumni Meet
Alumni are the brand ambassadors of every institution who spread the value and pride of the institution
wherever they are. Smaran '11 the first alumni meet was organized on March 06, 2011 and witnessed
enthusiastic participation of Alumni sharing their career experiences among themselves and guiding the
younger lot to get on the right track to face the challenges of the future.
Meet The Dabbawalas - An Epic event
An epic event “Meet The Dabbawalas” was organised on March 08, 2011 and the chief guest
Dr. Pawan Agrawal from Mumbai who has done research on Dabbawalas gave an insight on the world
acclaimed concept of supply chain management practiced by Dabbawalas in India. Also, he explained
how most remarkable in the eyes of many Westerners, the success of the Dabbawalas trade without
involving advanced technology, except for trains but solely depending on commitment, teamwork and
time management.
REJOICE '11- A Cultural Extravaganza
“REJOICE '11" - a show in origin and spirit, modern in
presentation, universal and timeless in appeal – was conducted
on March 10, 2011 by the RVS Group of Institutions in august
presence of Mr. Ramesh Kanna, Film Director & Comedian and
Mr. Lakshmipathy Balaji, the Indian cricketer.
Industrial Visit, Travel Around Training&
The I MBA students visited Cochin Port Trust to understand the organizational structure, work practices & departmental functioning on March 16, 2011.
The I MBA students were taken for a travel around trip to Veegaland, Cochin from 17 -18 March 2011.
Extensive Employability enhancement training is imparted by 24X 7 Learning Solutions, Bangalore to enable students transform to a proficient performer through 115 hours of Skill bridge training programme

Placements '11
RVS Institute of Management Studies in its benign endeavour in creating global business leaders with all
around managerial & entrepreneurial skills has succeeded in realizing its vision through the enhanced
employability opportunities in the placement process 2011. The placement process of year 2011 has
provided a platform to enable the corporate get their prospective candidate and ensure the students,
their deserving placement. The major recruiters associated with us in this process include companies
from different sectors viz. Manufacturing, Consulting, Financial Services, IT & ITES Services, and FMCG.
The Placements '11 is still going on with a positive note with new organizations getting associated in our
Placement endeavour of enabling Maximum, Deserving, Quality placements.
