DescriptionThe HRX-SLN501 is an HDBaseT Receiver Box that receives an HDMI® signal from a Savant SmartLink HDMI matrix switch (SLN-88BT, SLN-86BT, or SLN-84BT). This provides an interface for a single display device (sink) as part of a complete Savant HDBaseT 5Play™solution.

The HRX-SLN501 is designed using HDBaseT 5Play Alliance® specifications allowing direct connectivity with HDBaseT-compliant devices without requiring an Savant SmartLink HDBaseT matrix switch (SLN-88BT, SLN-86BT, or SLN-84BT). SmartLink technology is designed to ensure interoperability with third-party HDBaseT products.

The HRX-SLN501 receiver paired with a SmartLink HDMI matrix switch is the the ideal digital extender solution controlled by an Apple® iPhone®, iPod touch®, iPad® ,or iPad mini® using Savant’s TrueControl apps.

Multimedia InterfaceA single HDMI digital output port is provided on the rear of the HRX-SLN501 supporting HD 1080p60 video and WUXGA computer signals with HDCP, 3D, and multichannel HD lossless audio - all through one connection. The HDMI® output can also handle DVI signals using an appropriate adapter or interface cable.

The HRX-SLN501 uses a single Cat5e/6/7 cable from the HDMI output and connects to the headend) which extends sources up to 328 feet (100 meters) from the SLN-88BT, SLN-86BT, SLN-84BT, or third-party HDBaseT 5Play™ compliant solution. Multiple receivers may be installed to handle each display in multi-room distribution systems, all from the central SLN-88BT, SLN-86BT, or SLN-84BT.

HDBaseT provides consumers with full multimedia distribution with high reliability, longer distance, and lower cost all through one cable.

IR Input and IR Output - Uses 4-pin screw down connectors (3.81mm).The IR IN ports receive IR commands from a Savant controller with IR control or third party IR control box and send them over the Cat5e, Cat6, or Cat7 port (SmartLink) to the distant ends IR output port to control devices in that zone. Conversely, IR OUT ports can drive an IR emitter(blaster) with IR commands received from the distant ends IR IN port.NOTE: IR IN and OUT ports are 5V tolerant only.
