which means that it was at its darkest, this makes the pho-to look more natural and have less noise. The exposure time was 1/196 this means the shutter went at 1196th of a second this would have been because the dog would move around during the shoot, It also allows for some fantastic lighting on the side of the shot.

and the image is focused on the eye which means that the nose and the back-ground are blurred, whilst the eye is per-fectly focused this makes the image very dynamic. The use of reflection in the eye of the dog makes use of per-spective because the object is unrecognis-able. The ISO of the photo was set at 50

1st.The shot of the dog’s eye above was take with the Sony Alpha a390 with a mid-range 18-55mm lens, the photo real-ly works because it looks dynamic and the perspective is creative because the focal length is short

2nd This photo is effective be-cause of the use of flash and a fast shutter speed and a low ISO of 50. This photo was actually tak-en mid-afternoon when

the sun was low in the sky. The photo caught the subject in the flash whilst under exposing the background of the photographs, this photo was taken with a focal length of 41 which is long this gives the flower a slight glow.

3rdThis photo of these cows is very good because of the colour, the colours blend really nicely, this is because of the 19mm focal length with an ap-erture of 4.8 this allowed

the light to flood the fore-ground but leave the background dark. The Cows are composed well in the middle- left of the shot. The Shutter speed has to be fast at 1/144 to counteract the aperture creating flare or flooding the lens.

Sony Alpha A390 The camera used to take the win-ning photo is a Sony Alpha DSLR-A390, The camera is an entry level DSLR camera that sits at 14.2 use-able megapixels, and the optical sensor is CCD with 14,200,000 pixels. The maximum shutter speed is 1/4000 sec-onds and ISO range is 100 to 3200. The image processor is BIONZ.
