Every year at SoAcres has been incredible, but I am hard pressed to remember a year in which the hand of God was more evident than in 2013. As you will find in the following pages, God accomplished spectacular things in and through SoAcres! From building out a first-class worship team rotation, to an overall re-branding of our church, God’s mercies and blessings have fallen new and abundantly this year.
But even more important than the things we see are the things we don’t see, and that is the deep and fortifying work He has been doing in the lives of those who call SoAcres home. We have witnessed dramatic life change nearly every week, with more than 60 baptisms! And all this is evidence that we are accomplishing our mission: doing all we can to hell-proof our community.
As you flip through these pages, think of a person in your life who doesn’t yet know Jesus. That person is the reason these numbers are so important – because they represent a story of
God’s grace and redemption. My prayer for this coming year is that your friend will be added to this book as one who came to SoAcres and ultimately came to Jesus Christ. I started this note by saying that I can’t think of a year that has been better than 2013; however, I can envision what God has on the horizon for 2014, and it eclipses even what He did last year! I can’t wait to see what God will do in and through this place as we dedicate the coming year to Him.

IT’S NOT ABOUT ME -- We believe that our time, talents, and treasures are a giftfrom God and should be used sacrificially for His purposes. (Philippians 2:5-11)
PRAYER CHANGES LIVES -- We believe that the way God's army marches is on their knees; we want to win our community to Christ and it starts with prayer. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

A Women's Bible Study to encourage Godly women at SoAcres. This is a time to go deeper in God's word, to
connect with one another, and to serve others.
Small groups of 10 to 20 people. Taking inspiration from Acts 2:42-47, we strive to be a modern church modeled like
the first, with a strong Christ-centered community.
An incredible production for kids and their parents. It’s a monthly family experience of concert music, video, and
drama to entertain and inspire Biblical virtues.
A Men's Bible Study that encourages a community of men who desire to live out God's calling. It begins with a great
breakfast, then a deeper study of God's word.

SoAcres takes Christmas presents and Christmas dinner to the under-resourced families of SoElementary School. Upon delivery one little boy squealed "Mom, mom! We have presents and look we have food!" All of this in the name of Christ!

SoAcres has adopted SoElementary School and the under resourced children there. For many children, the one good meal they get each day is at school, and many don't eat on the weekends until they are back at school on Monday. So SoAcres packs non-perishable groceries in back packs to send home over the weekend for these children.

In 2013, the look of SoAcres changed dramatically. Gone is the old website and the color orange (which served us so well for nearly seven years). In came a new SoAcres logo with a crisp, clean look. The website also got a complete makeover, which caught the eye of the design world as it was selected for The Green Thumb Award. A great church deserves a great look!The Bible says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, its laborers
labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1) In 2013, three couples decided to do things God’s way - by being baptized and married at the same time! After individually giving their lives to Christ, they were baptized together, and then (while soaking wet) they stood to become husband and wife in front of SoAcres church. This was so unique that the story was picked up nationally on KLove radio and the KLove website. Each week at SoAcres, you know God shows up - you are just never sure how!
