Social media as a collective have become a ubiquitous web tools
used by diverse people, institutions
and corporate bodies, in different ways and for various end goals.

The readily availability of social media makes
it easy for everyone with access to Internet and with minimal ICT
and information literacy to use it.

Social media literacy requires more than such skills due to it
complexities - creating and sharing content,
consuming and interpreting with
content, evaluating one's own and others'
generated content that’s publicly
accessible.
