 Software Resource Planning Tool Software Resource Planning Tool Objective: The aim of the system is providing a web appli cation for a soft ware company for supporting the planning of human resources and project management. Resource Planning is a key to success of any Project. The main concepts of the system are tasks on one hand and employees on the other hand. Tasks need to be completed in a certain time by a limited amount of employees with specific skills. The System supports the process of associating tasks to the right employees in a way that due dates are met while every employee gets a constant workload. Existing System: The System in use currently is not handling authentications properly. The current system failed to track project along with its domain which is the serious limitation to the existing system. Employees work allocation is faulty with the existing system in such a way that is difficult to evaluate their work properly. This system doesn’t provide tracking of member activities and their progress. Proposed System The new proposed system being developed has the following features to overcome the problems of the current system: The system is being developed with the user friendly UIs. Various authentication and access levels are efficiently handled. Information files about the employees, clients, and other users can be stored in a centralized database. Users can not only view their ac count information but also update their information. 1

1. Authentication and Security Module

In this Module, the users of the system are identified withtheir username and password and thereon users are given

proper access according to their privileges.

2. Projects and Domains Module

The company may be dealing with the various projects on

various domains and to track all these projects may be

difficult but in this module, all projects and their relateddomains information is processed properly. Generally

Projects are divided into various modules and modules intocomponents and components into elements.

3. Clients Module

This module is completely client centric and the crucial

information relating to the client and the persons profilewho are subject to interact with the client is processed.

4. Employees Work Module:

This module consists of the following sub modules:

• Employees Module

This sub module is concerned about employee

registrations and employee profile management.

• Departments Module

This sub module deals with information relating tothe various departments and the department in-

charges.

• Employees Work status Module

This module deals with the work assigned to theemployees and the status of the work and if any

delay is there, cause for the delay. If the work iscompleted, and then new task is assigned to the

employee.

5. Reports Module

Reports are the one where management heavily depends

for decision making. Admin and employees generatevarious reports in this module.
