Hemodialysis

• UF membranes used in dialyzers to treat patients with renal failure

• The dialyzer performs the following functions:

• Rid the body of wastes, such as urea, from the blood

• Restore the proper balance of electrolytes in the blood

• Eliminate extra fluid from the body

• Sulfone polymers (PSU, PESU) are utilized thanks to:

• Tailored grades compatible with PVP • Medical Approvals ASTM F702-10 and

ISO 10993• Ability to form fine UF hollow fiber

membranes with high manufacturing productivity

• Membrane cartridges are utilized in several filtrationpurposes for high end applications such as biopharma, electronic industry, highly polluted industrial wastewater treatment, air particulate and hot air filtration

• These end uses requires high chemical andtemperature resistance due to the harsh conditionsof use and/or cleaning

Specialty Applications

Solvay portfolio includes high performing polymers for use in extreme conditions
