This is what is possible to be undertaken today.

§ Refinement of a quantum computing processing model that is a trans-Turing machine, based upon molecular biology. Of interest are “poised realm” [1] states and self-emergent-sustaining dynamics transitioning between quantum entanglement and classical states. Attention is directed to biological expressions including the structural rearrangement of proteins and the assembly-conformational processes of microtubulin and actin.

§ Simulation of the same through existing computational resources employing both conventional supercomputing and stochastically distributed network resource computing.

§ Application of both simulated and prototype machines for specific tasks in:♦ viral function including host cell membrane fixation/penetration and viral transcription

♦ adaptive/tuned annealing method for matching potential pharmaceutical candidate molecules to specific pathogens and control of drug metabolism during the therapeutic process

♦ cytokine-storm, auto-immune reaction and self-identification ofpre-cancerous metabolism

♦ epidemiological life cycle management of infectious diseases

♦ social and informational behaviors associated with pandemic-scale outbreaks and quasi-similar mass-effect events

♦ predictability and localization of mutations during epidemics

♦ additional emergent critical processes and events whose simulation and predictability require or are optimized by similar computational models - microbiology, public health, socioeconomics, and beyond the biological into the domains of physics, chemistry, and related science and engineering including space-based systems.

Coherent Quantum Entanglement Resonance (CQER) may open many doors.

§ Directing attention to the dynamics and transitions between quantum states (including high-temperature, macromolecular Bose-Einstein Condensates) and classical states may be more of the path to explore than seeking a stable “quantum Turing machine” array of n qubits or a semi-stable quasi-adiabatic machine.

§ A progressed “unification” model of physics and biology may offer both a more satisfactory theoretical foundation as well as practical applications for critical long-term and long-sought goals in energy, medicine, and psychology:♦ cell apoptosis cybernetics

♦ photon-emission (topological condensationeffect) from quantum flux (dark energy)

♦ understanding and manipulation of dark-matteras an intermediary between quantum and classicalenergy states (probability densities)

♦ quantum-entanglement type relationshipson the macroscopic organism scale betweenindividuals (animals, humans) and social groups

♦ early-warning dispositional indicatormeasurement pertaining to physiological andpsychological conditions of merit and concernincluding life-threatening catastrophic diseaseand sociopathic violence

♦ psychosocioeconomic modeling of value to all points along the supply-chain of production and consumption

♦ new forms of parallel and network-based computing andinformation management including cybersecurity and identity protection

The goal is to begin now with small components of related and complementary research, development, implementation and field-testing.

Besides the obvious QComp, QBio, QPhysics, Mathematics, there are other important tasks that must be concurrent and closely-coupled. Pertaining to biomedical and psychosocial topics, these are found particularly within clinical medicine and community health activities in both the civilian and defense sectors, and the QC methods apply directly to both the computational tasks and the algorithmic modelings thereof:

§ Field Studies and Data Collection centered upon clinical medical practice in diverse (urban, rural, military) populations

§ Epidemiological data protocols (historical and real-time)

§ Psychosocial modeling – the “what “ and “how” of viral outbreaks of “informational” pathogens

§ Pathways and protocols for prevention and early-warning of both biological and informatic epidemics

Why is this concurrent and in-tandem contiguity between seemingly diverse application areas so important?

1. Refinement in one area aids in the understanding and refinement in the others

2. Quantum computing as an application resource needs to bear practical fruits in a multi-spectral manner, from understanding fundamental molecular and intracellular bio-processes to understanding how the larger social organism can adapt and immunize itself against both biological and informational pathogenicity.

{I}Can the study of virus structural configurations, intracellular signalling and cytoplasmic protein conformational dynamics provide both insight and potentially practical device-engineering benefits, including potentially the use of protein-based qubit arrays, in order to achieve reliable, fault-tolerant, non-adiabatic, ambient-temperature Quantum Computers which can be used in such environments as:

§ The average hospital and clinic, for diagnostic purposes

§ Field-based, mobile and compact diagnostic instruments(e.g., public health and combat medicine)

§ Space-based robotic environments

§ Pharmaceutical research and drug discovery

§ Invasive and implant-based bio-electronic interfaces (including uses within human subjects, and enabling potentials for collective/group information processing among those connected – a “quantum leap” in cognitive processing and communications)

{II}Can Biology and Medicine provide the optimal research space for discovery in quantum-scale physics that will pave the way for improved understanding of pre-biological physics and applications of quantum computing for fields such as energy generation and space-based propulsion?

{III}What if the approaches of today that are abstract, theoretical, even speculative and mathematically unproven, can within as short a space as two or three years reveal significant breakthroughs, or even modest gains, that advance physics and medicine, at a financial cost of nearly nothing, or a net gain due to the proceeds of other concurrently-engaged tasks by the same QCMP group and its members?

For these reasons it is important to undertake a new organizational approach that is not in competition with all other research and development within the related fields but in a decidedly and deliberately synergetic and symbiotic spirit of collaboration.

This is what QCMP is all about and why the type and specificity of the collaborative “ingredient mix” is strongly suggested as an optimal recipe for what QCMP should undertake.

Physics, mathematics, computer science, including artificial (synthetic) intelligence – yes, of course.

Closely coupled with genetics, molecular biology, synthetic biology with research and clinical expertise in cancer, infectious disease, auto-immune disorder, dementia and cardiovascular topics, including direct, in-population clinical medicine and public health.

Extreme value and importance for the direction and decision flow of the basic research must include field-based medicine and psychology with diversified populations.

Seemingly ancillary but of great value for the future in this and other “trans-generational” research must be social education and dissemination – a gradual and gentle process, beginning with youth and those who will be the scientists, physicians, and astronauts of 2050 and beyond. For these reasons also, the precise mix of people and institutions is valuable.

Proximity is important – teleconferencing and long-distance travel is appropriate, to a point. Optimization of time, energy, and capital resources is important, and very much so also is direct face-to-face dialog and dialectic.

There is a tremendous opportunity to conduct a philharmonic process among those who are able, interested, and genuinely willing to step back and view the puzzle and its possible solution sets from a different perspective.

The institutions indicated within this presentation are not a finite or limiting case, but a suggested starting point. There are already other collaborators and affiliates, presently, from several disciplines and backgrounds, from a number of institutions, from several countries.

Here is a beginning point for planning a Race – a Race for Resilience and for transformation and growth within paradigms of physics and biology.

What is required today?

First and foremost, the sincere and genuine interest to advancing science, medicine, and social well-being. Secondly, the conscious willingness and commitment of all to place the needs of the many above the needs of the few. Thirdly, a physical base of operations for a small laboratory commencing with one principal investigator. Fourthly, a modest and temporary level of support for the same.

Thank you for your attention and interest.
