RESPONSIBILITY: - Shift In-charge FOR ENERGISING THE DRIVE Applicability:-This is applicable for Hood Exhaust fan, Windbox-exhaust, UDD fan, Cooling Air Fan, Wind Box Recup Fan. Procedures. Please check the status in CDP, if it is showing Ready on, this means the drive is ready for switched on. If Ready On is not coming in CDP please check followings. 1. Ensure all the MCB/MPCB should be on. 2. The drive shall not be in fault/alarm condition. 3. The corresponding breaker of drive should be in service position, Spring charge healthy, Trip circuit healthy, relay healthy. 4. The earthing switch should be in open condition. 5. The doors of converter and transformer section must be in closed. Now Press the ON Push Button for energising the Drive, After Pre- charge completes the main breaker closed. Now the Drive status will be updated to drive ready run from Ready to Switch ON. Don’ts

1. PURPOSE: - Energizing & De-energizing of Medium voltage Drive

2. SCOPE: - Start & Stop Sequence of MV Drive.

3. RESPONSIBILITY: - Shift In-charge

FOR ENERGISING THE DRIVE

Applicability:-This is applicable for Hood Exhaust fan, Windbox-exhaust, UDD fan, Cooling Air Fan, Wind Box Recup Fan.

Procedures.

Please check the status in CDP, if it is showing Ready on, this means the drive is ready for switched on.

If Ready On is not coming in CDP please check followings.

1. Ensure all the MCB/MPCB should be on.2. The drive shall not be in fault/alarm condition.3. The corresponding breaker of drive should be in service position, Spring charge healthy, Trip

circuit healthy, relay healthy.4. The earthing switch should be in open condition.5. The doors of converter and transformer section must be in closed.

Now Press the ON Push Button for energising the Drive, After Pre-charge completes the main breaker closed. Now the Drive status will be updated to drive ready run from Ready to Switch ON.

Don’ts

The breaker of corresponding VFD should never close manually (TNC/MANUAL) from 6.6KV Switchboard. There may be severe damage occurred in the drive.

DE-ENERGISING THE DRIVE.

Applicability:-This is applicable for Hood Exhaust fan, Windbox-exhaust, UDD fan, Cooling Air Fan, Wind Box Recup Fan.

Procedures.

1. Ensure the motor is stopped condition and take clearance from Control room.2. Now press the OFF push button to de energise the drive.3. The drive will be now discharging the DC voltage through its discharge resistor and when DC

voltage completely discharges the earth switch unlocked LED will glow.4. Wait approximately 10-15 minutes, after 10-15 minutes the entire blower of drive stops. Now

the control power can be switched off.

Don’ts

1. Don’t open the doors of converter and transformer section of drive when the drive is energised condition and blowers are running condition.

2. Never switch of the control power during DC link Voltage (Earth switch unlock indication not Glow) present in the drive.

NOTE:

POWER FAILURE.

1. In case of power failure first ensure all breaker must be opened and if not opened then trip the breaker manually from 6.6Kv Switch-board.

AUXILIARY POWER FAILURE.

2. Before restore power in the drive the control power must be recycled, if the control power not recycled then the redundant fan will be operated.
