Sorona® homo filament fiber provides softness, brilliant color, moisture wicking as well as shape memory to fabrics. The fiber is also UV- and chlorine-resistant, so clothing made with Sorona® maintains its shape and color over time, wear and washes. When compared to polyester, Sorona® can be dyed at lower temperatures, which decreases energy use.

Sorona® comfort stretch fiber has inherent attributes that add shape memory,

moisture wicking and softness to fabrics. It can also be used as a companion

yarn to other synthetics and naturals, adding stretch and recovery where

needed. In addition, Sorona® is UV- and chlorine-resistant, so clothing made

with Sorona® maintains its vibrant color, wear after wear and wash after wash.

Sorona® homo staple fiber works well in circular knit fabrics and blends well with natural fibers like cotton, wool, lyocell and viscose because it provides superior performance without sacrificing the aesthetics of a natural yarn. The knitted fabrics have a very soft volume hand, while improving on the pilling, quick-dry and shape memory properties of natural fibers.

Sorona® can also be very effective in insulation applications because Sorona® staple fiber is extra soft, with both high-loft and form-fitting applications.

Sorona® comfort stretch staple fiber combines with natural fibers such as cotton, wool, bamboo, rayon or linen to give fabrics a much softer and voluminous hand feel, working better than polyester as a performance fiber with moisture wicking properties. In addition, its rich hand feel holds up over time.

Sorona® comfort stretch staple also works extremely well in insulation applications. With its superior performance, the fiber-fill made with Sorona® comfort stretch staple is an effective alternative to down, particularly in high-moisture environments. Plus, its excellent volume and compression recovery are durable after repeated wear and washes.

Fabrics must contain a minimum of 20% of fiber made with Sorona® (Homo filament, Homo staple, Comfort stretch filament fiber) except for:

Comfort stretch staple fiber - fabrics must contain a minimum of 10% of comfort stretch staple fiber for one-way stretch.

Insulation - Insulation must contain a minimum of 30% Sorona® fiber.
