Our missionThe James E. Richmond Science Center’s mission is to inspire and stimulate an appreciation of science and its interrelationship with all other disciplines. We exist to serve and enrich the entire student population of Charles County Public Schools as well as the greater Southern Maryland community. We accomplish our goals by creating exciting and memorable experiences that are multi-disciplinary in focus and incorporate our hands-on Discovery Labs, NOAA Science on a Sphere content, and our Digital Dome Planetarium Classroom.
