    TEEN NIGHT Calling all Teens

FRESHMAN to SENIOR: You are invited to join us for Teen Night,

Every other Weds. night at 6:30 pm.

March 5 Ash Wednesday – see you at Mass

March 14 – 16 Search Weekend March 19 Meet in Teen Room 6:30

March 28 Deadline for registering for April Search April 2 Meet in Teen Room 6:30 April 11 – 13 Search Weekend

Did You Know? Matthew 5:23-24 states: “Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your

gift.” (NAB) Ash Wednesday is this Wednesday. It is a good time to begin your examination of conscience for your Lenten Reconciliation. Are there relationships that need healing – especially within the family? Go - ask for, give, and receive forgiveness – and your return to the altar to offer your gift will bear much fruit. Additionally, you will feel an inner peace as promised by our Lord.

Vocation Views God promises never to forget us. If you feel distant from God, who has moved? Seek a closer relationship with God and all that you need will be given to you. (Isaiah 49:14-15 & Matthew 6:24-34)

Spirit of Life KC Lenten Fish Fry Dates The Spirit of Life Knights of Columbus will be hosting Lenten Fish Fry’s on Friday March 7th, March 21st, and April 11th from 5-7:30 pm each night. This can be done through your prayers and generous support of our African Missions team. Please be as generous as you can in supporting the important work of Leon and Alicia Heck, and Patricia Clark, as they minister on our behalf to our brothers and sisters in Kisii, Kenya, East Africa. You are also encour-aged to follow the African Mission– Missionary’s blog: Www.kenyamission-dioceseofbismarcknd.blogspot.com If you are interested in serving as a member of the Diocesan Mission Team or would like more information, please write to: Chuck and Tip Reichert Diocese of Bismarck PO Box 1137 Bismarck, ND 58502-1137

SEARCH At SEARCH, the individuals are reminded of God’s call and invite each one to respond with a renewed commitment, faith and action. Sometimes it is hard to hear that call because of all the distractions in our lives. Each SEARCH is organized by a student director, usually a young person out of high school with SEARCH experience. Working with the SEARCH adult leadership, a team is selected to share a set of talks, lead activities and direct the weekend. The daily search for Christian maturity means addressing important life and faith issues. SEARCH has been designed to help the youth discern these issues for the perspective of other youth. Please join us for a weekend of SEARCH! For more information or to register, check the teen bulletin board for brochures or contact Ken Roshau at 701-225-5509/701-290-4137 or at [email protected]

Soup Kitchen Lenten Luncheons For the past several years, Spirit of Life has offered a series of Lenten Luncheon talks in conjunction with our Thursday Soup Kitchen. Please join us during Lent over your Thurs-day lunch hour for soup, sandwich and an opportunity to deepen your relationship with Christ as we prepare for Easter. Our first Lenten Luncheon will be Thursday, March 6, with Soup served at 11:30 am and our speaker beginning at 12:00. Everyone is welcome to attend.

SPEND MORE TIME WITH JESUS THIS LENT As Lent approaches and we contemplate how God is calling us to a deeper relationship with Him, please consider spending time with Him in adoration. Several of you have been so faithful in your weekly commitment at the Perpet-ual Adoration Chapel at Spirit of Life. There are some time slots that we have been filling on a week to week basis. Some people have formed small groups of 2-4 people to cover an hour between them. That means a commitment of only an hour every other week or even once a month. The toughest hours to fill – yet the most peaceful – are the mid-night through 4 AM times. Perhaps you could form a prayer group to cover one of those hours one day a week. Please make it a priority for this Lent to spend more time in adoration. To schedule individually or as a group on an open hour, call Spirit of Life @ 663-1660.

Prayer Blanket Makers We are asking for your help to restock our supply of Prayer Blankets! We have found the popular fleece fabric tied blan-kets work very well. The blanket size preferred takes 1 ½ Yards fleece fabric. You’re welcome to make it larger if you’d like. This will be the size we give to almost everyone. Patches for the blankets are available in the Spirit of Life office. In addition, we are requesting a smaller number of the 30 x 30 fleece blankets for infants, keeping in mind the fabric selection should be appropriate for babies. Thank you for your caring support of this Ministry. There are sheets in the church entry that have additional information about the Prayer Blanket Ministry. If you have any questions or would like to join this ministry, please can call Trish at 222-0663 or Mari Jo at the church office, 663-1660.
