3.0 Training Outcome

3.1 Skills required in managing the company

Able to adapt to company’s work culture

First day, I was fell existed and nerves because as usually I think I’m still student and how I get able to adapt to the organization’s culture and environment. I remain positive even though more problems or challenges come to me along with my Student in Enterprise Programme (SIEP). I must be overcome such problems or challenges to complete the tasks and the responsibilities.

Able to learn fast

Be a promoter need to work fast because as the private companies have good attitude to get increase the performance when face up with prospect customer or regular customers. We have to face up with customers with good services to satisfy them.

Able to get along people

As a student, I always communicate with the related people such as lecturer and classmate and friends. But during my SIEP, I have communicated with many people such as my manager and staffs. That makes me to learn more. When we communicate with the customers, we need to have proper communication with respect.

Discipline at workplace

Discipline is the basic value when we were involve in real work. When we are in working organizations, we need to have good discipline at the work punctuality, sense of responsibility, commitment and personality. Throughout my SIEP period in B Perfect Boutique I have learned from the staffs about discipline and it will influence my performance and effort in real work. At this company, I get many information and knowledge about the patience, importance and discipline. Chris always reminds me about the attendance, performance of work and sense of responsibility to handle the task.

3.3 Contribution to the company

I did the contribution on setting all the documents related to Good and Service Tax. GST is charged on the consumption of goods and services at every single stage of the supply chain. Although GST is levied from the supplier right up to the retail stage of the supply chain, it does not form part of the production cost as GST paid on the business inputs can be claimed back. Therefore, the number of stages a certain product passes through the supply chain is irrelevant because the tax paid on the business inputs at the earlier stage can always be written off by the businesses at the later stage of the supply chain. (POH, L. B., 2014)

Therefore, the owner have a lot of things related to GST need to settle. She need to learn how to use the machine with GST setting. While I was learnt how to key in the stock ID into the computer and teach other employees how to use the machine for future time. We need to estimate again the retail price after include the GST charge.

Besides that, I also created a Facebook page for B Perfect Boutique. This is easy for the customer to online update the latest or new arrival of dress. This is one kind of marketing strategy for B Perfect Boutique and attract more customer since the reputation is increasing.

4.0 Conclusion

From the Student in Enterprise Program (SIEP), I am able to experience the entrepreneurship which I had never encounter in my life before. This had eventually fulfils the aim of our University which “Entrepreneurship is Our Trust”.

By doing this, I get a roughly idea of how to set up a business and what we should prepare before a business is being set up, how much money we would roughly prepare to set up a business. I also learn how to make marketing survey in order to make our company survive longer. I have learned a great deal of skills through this program and I am thankful to have a great experience working here.

I have generate more idea on my business which is Spa Song. What I learnt from B Perfect Boutique is the way serve the customer and treat them as a King. Customer is the way of income in our business. Spa Song is the new trend of spa treatment centre and entertainment corner, so we need customer to build the good reputation.

Lastly, we need to improve our weakness by receiving feedback from customers and appreciate their opinion.
