Space, shape, and form

Page 2: Space, shape, and form

space

Page 3: Space, shape, and form

There is space between the figures and around them. The space help us to see the actual form of the figures for there is no contact between them.

Page 4: Space, shape, and form

In this image you can see the figures clearly although its only black, the negative space is white making the positive space(the figure) stand out.

Page 5: Space, shape, and form

The space between the fish make it a well balanced image. Again, no contact between them showing the whole form

Page 6: Space, shape, and form

Space creates depth in this image. You see the foreground with the figures, middle ground as well as a background.

Page 7: Space, shape, and form

This artist use space around the object for the idea to make it seem as if the object floats in the air. You can see depth in this image as well.

Page 8: Space, shape, and form

There is no space for the objects are utterly close to each other leaving no gap between them.

Shape

Page 10: Space, shape, and form

The objects are flat and are faced from above so you can only see a shape. the shapes with the blank background creates a negative and positive space.

Page 11: Space, shape, and form

In this image, different kinds of shapes of cartoon characters were created from random kinds of forms. The forms’ shadow(shape) show something

entirely different than the actual form which is very interesting.

Page 12: Space, shape, and form

Shape is created using light from the background that turns the forms in the foreground into shapes. The forms turn completely dark and you can no

longer see the form.

Page 13: Space, shape, and form

The artist used line and color to create different kinds of shapes

Page 14: Space, shape, and form

In this photograph they used light as well to shape the form. The shape of the tree is standing out with a completely white background.

Page 15: Space, shape, and form

This 2d art piece are filled with shapes. The artist used geometric shapes such as squares and rectangles for the building’s windows and bricks.

form

Page 17: Space, shape, and form

This image is an example of organic form for it is a figure of nature. The figure is naked so it is easy to see the shape of the curves and texture.

Page 18: Space, shape, and form

The hand looks flat but you do notice shade lines of the fingers and nails so you can actually see the form of the hand.

Page 19: Space, shape, and form

This structure is an example of geometric form. You can see all kinds of forms such as circles, half-moons, rectangle that creates a perfect, symmetrical and

precise building.

Page 20: Space, shape, and form

This image is the opposite of the previous one for it is organic forms which creates a asymmetrical feeling

Page 21: Space, shape, and form

This unusual form is unrealistic yet you can identify the objects. This image contain both organic and geometric.

Page 22: Space, shape, and form

This is a very clever design based on form and the use of it. The form make the object seem inviting and comfortable.

Page 23: Space, shape, and form

This is a example of geometric forms in nature for the lines and shapes of the form is perfectly well balanced.
