Usually not taught with other arts in mind.

    Usually doesnt dive deeper

Usually are hidden from self-taught people

  • ART: DIGITAL DESIGN

    Art that is created digitally

    Typically people use Adobe

    Illustrator or Vector Graphic

    design engines.

    Know the difference

    between Vector Graphics

    and Rasterized graphics.

  • ART (DRAWING/SKETCHING)

This genre is for anything that is presented on canvas,

    paper or flat surface.

Includes chalk, charcoal, crayon, pastel, India Ink and

    beyond just pencil and/or pen.

  • FLUTTERSHY DECO MESH WREATH BY PARROT STUFF

  • ELEMENT OF HONESTY WOOD CARVING BY WOODEN PONY PROJECT

  • COOKING

Cooking, while necessary to survive, can be a

    way to express yourself

Culinary arts are growing in size and diversity

Can be as simple as making simple cupcakes

    to full blown projects

  • FOLEY/SOUND FX

That thing we know exists but dont know what its

    called

Sounds that are used in movies/animations

Can use a lot of imagination if you work on a

    creative video

  • GAMING

One of our more controversial options but still a

    valid art form

Ties into same reasons as one later down the road.

Takes special skills, talent to be good at video

    games

  • MUSIC

One of our less controversial topics, but has a lot of

    room to grow

Like the art category, its broken down into smaller

    groups (Remixing and Original work)

Will go into depth about the 6 elements of musical

    harmony tomorrow

  • PHOTOGRAPHY

Not as common art form in our

    community, but an equally important

    one.

There is more to photography than

    Instagram and adding filters

Know how each setting will affect your

    composition (ISO, Aperature, F-stop,

    etc.)

    Mecha Dash by RebelATS

  • SPORTS

The other controversial option we consider an art.

Why call ballet and martial arts an art but not

    baseball?

All call for immense training to perfect your talent.

  • VIDEO (ANIMATION)

Video is another we split up

One of the most tedious to do, but also one of the most

    desired (as explained by Jan).

Many things go into an animation, such as animatics, art

    designs, etc.

  • VIDEO (PMV/LIVE ACTION)

That thing that really caught on

Grouped together because they use similar techniques

    and processes

Can be used as a way to get into other forms of editing

  • VOICE ACTING (ACTING IN GENERAL)

More than simply throwing ones voice

Voice acting means acting through your voice, not just

    sounding like a character

In order to be a good voice actor/actress, one must get

    into character

  • WRITING

    About expressing yourself through language

    Not limited to FanFics

    Poetry, plays, script writing, etc.
