WELCOME TO THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR

Dear Viking Parents: We know that you and your students are anxiously waiting for the start of this school year. Even though many plans have not yet been finalized, we wanted to go ahead and give you the orientation schedules. Freshmen Orientation has been scheduled for the week of August 3. To keep numbers low, students are assigned a specific date to attend. Please use the Plainview Drive entrance to drop off your student at the arena no later than 9:00 AM. All social distancing guidelines will be followed. Masks are

required but not provided. There will be a freshmen class meeting. Students will then be broken down into smaller groups to tour the building, take their ID pictures, and pick up their MacBooks. All students should be picked up from the arena no later than 11 AM.

It is very important that your student attends on their assigned date so that we can keep sizes manageable. If your student is unable to attend on their assigned day, they will have to pick up their MacBook on the first day of school. Freshmen parent meetings have also been set for Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 11 at 6:00 PM in the arena. Masks are required.

You can pay for your student’s MacBook insurance using the EZ Pay link on district website. You may login directly to EZ Pay with the link below.

https://www.ezschoolpay.com/Login.aspx Or from the D7 website, choose parent under “I am”. Choose the EZ Pay – Pay for Meals and MacBook Insurance and fees. This is about midway down the list of possible selections. If you do not have an account, you’ll first need to register, then log in. You choose a school district and then your students and you’ll need their ID numbers. It should be on your student’s ID card. If not, please call the school and we can get that number for you.

The Parking Permit Application is now available online at the following link:

Payment will be CASH ONLY so that we won’t slow down the lines. General Parking ($20), Senior Parking ($40). Your permit will be handed to you when you pick up your MacBook.
