Operator StationThe operator station provides comfort and protection with excellent job site visibility andconvenient, logical controls.

Joystick Control. The joystick allowsthree simultaneous boom functions andincorporates a unique slider switch.

The joystick also operates the auxiliaryhydraulic function and allows the optionof a second auxiliary service for the useof work tools that require more than onehydraulic service.

Hydraulic System. The Cat ElectroHydraulic system allows all three boomfunctions to be operated simultaneouslyand proportionally. This enablesprecise placing of loads in challengingapplications.

Auxiliary hydraulic functions areavailable on the joystick to allowoperators to utilize more complexwork tools.

A continuous flow auxiliary hydraulicsupply is also available for operatingtools that require continuous flow forlong periods of time.

Integrated System. The Caterpillarintegrated management system allowsthe engine, transmission and hydraulicsystems to operate with maximumefficiency, control and productivity.

Flow Sharing. Three simultaneoushydraulic functions are achieved usinga full flow sharing hydraulic valve.A load sensing variable displacementpump allows full hydraulic power evenat low revs.

Ease of OperationEase of operation was paramount in the design of the new TH560B. The single joystick, withits intuitive, modulated, hydraulic functions and the new Cat electronic machine informationdisplay are designed to maximize operator efficiency.

Lift Height. The TH560B can effectivelyand quickly place bricks, roofingmaterials and trusses to a maximumheight of 13.5 m (44 ft).

Reach. Job site obstacles presentchallenges demanding a machineto place loads at greater distances –the TH560B delivers.

Maneuverability. The TH560B offersexcellent maneuverability due to itstight turning circle and its three differentsteering modes.

The TH560B has a 48 degree axlesteering angle and no rear tail swing,allowing it to work productively andsafely in confined areas.

Steering Modes. The TH560B offersthree steering modes (two wheel, craband circle steer) to allow an operator toeasily position the machine. Steeringmodes are selected by a single three-position rocker switch.

PerformanceThe TH560B delivers high performance to meet your specific job site needs.

High Torque Rise Engine. The Cat 3054Eelectronic engine is U.S. EPA Tier 2compliant. While continuing to delivermaximum performance, they alsofeature improved timing, reducedsmoke and exceptional serviceimprovements. For improved soundcharacteristics, a venturi tailpipe hasbeen packaged inside the engineenclosure.

The 3054E engine is offered intwo configurations for the TH560B:a 74.5 kW (99 hp) option or a 92 kW(120 hp) option.

Transmission. The TH560B has apurpose designed, Caterpillar, four speedforward, three speed reverse powersyncrotransmission with powershift controls.

Axles. The TH560B is fitted withCaterpillar planetary reduction axleswith four wheel braking.

For improved machine performance indifficult conditions, a differential lockis available (front axle).

Power TrainCaterpillar engines, axles and transmissions give you the quality power train thatyou expect.

Quick Coupler. An IT interface is standardon the B-Series.

For optimum versatility, machinesare equipped with the hydraulic quickcoupler, allowing the operator to quicklyand easily change non-hydraulic worktools without leaving the cab.

Hydraulic Services. Machines areequipped with Auxiliary Hydraulicservices, allowing the use ofhydraulically operated worktools. Two options are available:

• One auxiliary hydraulic serviceat the boom head

• Continuous hydraulic flow

Work Tools. A wide range of worktools are available to meet most job siteapplications. Caterpillar TelehandlerWork Tools extend the versatility ofthe machine. Built for performanceand durability, these work toolsdeliver high productivity, longlife and excellent value.

Machine Security System. Secure yourinvestment with the Caterpillar MachineSecurity System (MSS), a programmablekey system that provides optimummachine security for both fleet usersand single owners.

• MSS disables the machine byinteracting with the machine’sElectronic Control Modules (ECM)

• Keys fit all existing Cat machines(including machines without MSS)

• Each machine can store up to 50 keyidentifications

• Each key can be configured tooperate a certain range of machinesor enable operation for a certainperiod of time
