Chapada Diamantina is a National Park that covers an area of 152 thousand hectares with valleys of lush green and bright tropical flowers. It's an enormous mountain range with red-rock formations reminiscent of the

American Southwest and located 400km west of Salvador. Caves, waterfalls, idyllic rivers and panoramic plateaus set the stage for some fantastic adventures.

Lençóis is the prettiest of the old diamond-mining towns in the Chapada Diamantina and is the gateway to the park. It has charming cobbled streets and brightly painted 19th-century buildings framed against lush

green hills. The city is catalogued as UNESCO's World Heritage.

*Day 01 - Arrival in Belo Horizonte followed by tour to Congonhas, São João del Rei and

Tiradentes. Stop for lunch and accommodation at Pousada Villa Allegra.

*Day 02 - Tour to Tiradentes and Mariana with stop for lunch. The tour follows to Ouro Preto.

Overnight at Pousada Clássica.

*Day 03 - Tour around Ouro Preto with lunch. Transfer to Belo Horizonte airport.

During the 17th and 18th century, Brazil faced one of most important and rich periods on its history. By that time, explorers found enormous mines of gold and precious gems in the mountains in the interior of the

country, in a region called Minas Gerais (general mines). In this region, the richness of the mines created spectacular cities with enchanting architecture and art. After the exhaustion of these mines and the beginning

of a new economic cycle in the coffee farms, cities like Ouro Preto, Mariana, Tiradentes and Diamantina were virtually abandoned, leaving a spectacular treasure behind. Ouro Preto is certainly the most important city

of that period and was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

city or to explore the cultural attractions. Overnight.

Station, typical lunch and walking tour at the historical downtown. Visit the historical city of

Antonina and the bay surrounded by the mountains of Serra do Mar. Transfer to the hotel.

Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, also known as the Brazilian Sahara, offers its visitors incredible scenarios of infinite oceans and tall white dunes, as well as thousands of crystal-clear lakes. It is an ecological

paradise with 155,000 hectares of dunes, rivers, lakes and wetlands. A singular ecological phenomenon that has been formed during thousands of years of wind movement. The landscape is astonishing: a white sandy

carpet without end in sight, as if you were on a desert. Unlike a desert however, there is plenty of rain and rivers in the region. It is the rain that actually creates the Lençóis and its landscape. The rain fills the

uncountable lakes and the magnificent landscape. Some of the most famous lakes are the Lagoa Azul and the Lagoa Bonita for their beauty and excellent swimming conditions.

*** N A T U R E ***Jalapão is one of the newest nature destinations in Brazil. Located in the heartland of Brazil, in the State of Tocantins, bordering the states of Bahia, Maranhão and Piauí, in the North region; it has one of the smallest

population rate in the country. The difficult access was the major factor in the preservation of this sanctuary, where, from yet untouched Veredas (typical of the cerrado), crystal- clear and abundant water flow, thus

forming endless rivers in the middle of a dry and beautiful scenery.


7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS

*Day 01 (Fri) - Arrival in Palmas and transfer to hotel.

*Day 02 (Sat) - After breakfast, departure to Jalapão. Stop for lunch at Ponte Alta. Visit

Suçuapara Canyon. Overnight at Safari Camp.

*Day 03 (Sun) - After breakfast, canoeing in Rio Novo. Lunch and departure to see the dunes.

*Day 01 - Early departure from Natal to Ingá to visit the largest and most awesome Brazilian

archeological monument. Lunch in Campina Grande and continuation to a traditional region

known as Cariri. At Sítio do Bravo we will visit granite hills decorated with small lakes and large

boulders. Prehistoric man and huge mammals - such as mastodons and saber-toothed tigers -

inhabited the area, leaving enigmatic relics of their passage. We will then proceed to Pai Mateus

Ranch to relax. Cariri style food will be served at dinner. Overnight at the Ranch.

*Day 02 - Walk to “Saca de Lã”. This unique rock formation resembles an enormous pile of wool

packs. After that we will visit Cabaceiras - a typical Sertão village. Stroll through the streets, meet

local hospitable people. This is also an opportunity to buy interesting handcraft made from goat

leather. Return to the Ranch for a special regional meal. After a short rest we will visit a fantastic

rocky landscape where 70 huge boulders are found scattered throughout an area once inhabited

by early tribes and a 18th century “shaman”, called Pai Mateus. Return to the Ranch for dinner

and overnight.

*Day 03 - Departure to Areia, a small colonial town, where houses from the 19th and early 20th

centuries have been preserved. Visit a small ancient theater and a "cachaça" farm. Lunch and

departure to Natal.

The region of the 'Cariri Paraibano' is characterized for it's beautiful rocky landscapes, located amid low vegetation, the 'caatinga'. The 'Lajedo do Pai Mateus' is a one-square kilometre rocky elevation, shaped as an

inverse soup plate, over which around one hundred huge round granite blocks are disposed, creating one of the planet's most unusual and exquisite pictures. Among the few regions in the globe to have similar

geological characteristics this is undoubtedly the most beautiful and untouched.

*** A R C H E O L O G Y ***One of the most important paleontological sites of the world is located in the town of Sousa, in the remote interior of the state of Paraíba, about 420km from João Pessoa. In "Rio do Peixe" you can find the Dinosaur

Valley, with the highest incidence of dinosaur footprints in the world. The Dinosaur Valley has an area reserved for researchers and visitors to see the footprints of 130 million years old. The passage of these animals

through Paraíba's countryside arouses the interest of scientists, tourists and curious people from all around the world.


4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

*Day 01 - Early departure to Seridó region and visit the Brejuí Mine which was one of the world’s

largest producers of scheelite, a mineral from which tungsten is extracted. Visit the Acari

Historical Museum, to see objects used by the locals and their way of living. Lunch on the banks of

the beautiful Gargalheiras Dam, before moving on to the Dinosaurs' Valley. Dinner and overnight.

*Day 02 - Visit the Dinosaurs' Valley. Various dinosaur species, of different sizes, lived there 120

million years ago, on the banks of a large, shallow lake. Their tracks and footprints are visible

throughout the area. Visit also the scientific exhibition at the local museum. Departure to Cariri

with stop for lunch. Visit 'Sítio do Bravo', where prehistoric man and animals, such as the

mastodon, inhabited. Dinner and overnight.

*Day 03 - Walk to 'Saca de Lã'.This unique rock formation resembles an enormous pile of wool

packs. The tour follows to Cabaceiras where you can find interesting goat-leather handicrafts.

Lunch at the ranch. After a short rest we will visit a fantastic rocky landscape where 70 huge

boulders are found scattered throughout an area once inhabited by early tribes and a 18th

century “shaman”, called Pai Mateus. Dinner and overnight.

*Day 04 - Departure to Ingá to visit Brazilian main archeological monument. This is a 23 meter

granite monolith, covered with enigmatic inscriptions, carved by indigenous people thousands of

years ago. The tour follows to Areia to visit an ancient theater and a 'cachaça' farm. Lunch and

departure to Natal.
