MARSH PRODUCT WARRANTYFIVE (5) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Marsh Furniture Company (“Marsh”) warrants to the original user for “HouseholdUse” only as defined below that for a five (5) year term, measured from the date ofpurchase from Marsh, Marsh will repair or replace any product of Marsh’smanufacture which is defective in material and workmanship. The term “HouseholdUse” shall include use for personal and family purposes as well as in hotel or motelresidential short term rental units, but does not apply to other purposes forcommercial use. The remedy of repair or replacement (which shall be at the optionof Marsh) is the exclusive remedy of the user. Claims for repair or replacement shouldbe submitted to Marsh at P.O. Box 870, High Point, NC, 27261-0870.

It is the nature of wood products to have variations in the grain pattern and woodcolor. Any surface finish may be affected by exposure to sunlight and other elementsas part of the natural aging process. These material variations and changes are notcovered by this warranty. Proper care and use are essential to preserving your rightsto this Warranty. Marsh will not repair or replace any product if damage is caused byimproper use or maintenance such as the use of abrasives or harsh cleaning agentson cabinet surfaces.

Additionally, this warranty does not cover damage to Marsh products fromnegligence, abuse, normal wear and tear, accidents, trauma, fire, water damage, orother catastrophe, or if a product is routinely subjected to steam or unusually highhumidity. Costs related to damages incurred in transit, handling, installation, and allcosts related to the transportation, removal or reinstallation of defective Marshproducts are not assumed by Marsh under this Warranty.

MARSH MAKES NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR OFFITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THESE AND ALL OTHER IMPLIEDWARRANTIES ARE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMED. IN NO EVENT WILL MARSHBE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGESRESULTING FROM ANY CAUSE.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and somestates do not allow an exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential dam-ages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warrantygives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary fromstate to state.

FRAMED CONSTRUCTION FEATURES FOR WALL CABINETS

A Stiles & Rails All lines have solid, 3/4! thick and1-1/2! wide; kiln dried stiles and rails. All are mortise & tenonconstruction, glued and secured with steel fasteners. Thetenon on each end of the rail is 3/8!.

B Divider Stiles The standard dividing stile is 3/4! thickand 3! wide; solid kiln dried wood. The blind corner wallcabinets have 3/4! thick, 5-1/4! wide stiles. Both dividers havea 1-1/8! tenon on each end fitting into a mortise in the top andbottom rail, glued and secured with steel fasteners.

C End Panels The ends are 1/2! thick industrial gradelaminated particleboard, PVC edge-banded on 2 sides. Theexterior laminate matches the front frame. The interior on theFairmont line is a white laminate and the interior on the woodlines is a natural light maple laminate. The ends are glued andsecured with steel fasteners to the front frame.

D Top & Bottom Panels Top and bottom panels are1/2! thick industrial grade particleboard, laminated on bothsides in a natural maple on wood lines and a white laminateon the Fairmont line. The panels are glued, grooved andsecured with steel fasteners into end panels and front frames.

E Back Panels The back panel is 7/32! thick industrialgrade MDF, laminated on the interior and raw on the backside. Fairmont has a white laminated interior and the woodlines have a light natural maple laminated interior. They arecaptured into a groove on the end panel, glued and securedwith steel fasteners.

F Hanging Rails The exterior hanging rails are MDF, 3!in height and 3/4! thick. The rails are glued, lip tenoned andsecured with steel fasteners into the end panels remainingflush on the backside of the cabinet. (Not shown)

G Shelves The shelves are adjustable, 5/8! thickindustrial grade particleboard, laminated on both sides andPVC edge-banded on the front edge of the shelf to match theinterior. They are installed in the cabinet with locking shelfclips. Up to 24! wide cabinets have 4 shelf clips per shelf, 27!& 30! wide cabinets have 5 clips per shelf, 2 on each side andone on the front center stile; and 33! and wider have 6 clipsper shelf, two on each side, one on front center stile and onecentered on the back.

DoorsThe standard doors all have a 1/2! overlay on all sides,leaving 1! of face frame exposed on the stiles and rails, and2! on the divider stile. The full overlay doors have a 1-5/16!overlay leaving 3/16! of the face frame exposed on the stilesand rails, and 1-5/16! on the divider stiles.

HingesOn all lines except Aurora, the hinges are fully concealed andopen to 106 degrees to permit easy access. Hinges are self-closing and adjustable to allow six different door alignments.There is a manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty on all thesehinges. On the Aurora lines, the hinges are semi-concealed,adjustable, steel, and self-closing. There is no lifetimewarranty on the Aurora hinges.

FRAMED CONSTRUCTION FEATURES FOR BASE CABINETS

C End Panels The end panels are 1/2! industrial gradeparticleboard, laminated on both sides, notched 4-1/2! up from thebottom edge and 3! in from the front edge for the toe kick. The outsidelamination matches the color of the frame and the inside is a naturallight maple laminate. Fairmont interior lamination is white. The endpanels are glued and secured with steel fasteners to the front frame.

D Bottom Panels The bottom panel is 1/2! particleboard,laminated on one side, glued, grooved and secured with steelfasteners into ends and front frame.

E Toe Kick The assembled cabinet toe kick notch measures4-1/2! high by 3-1/2! back from the face frame. The actual toe kick is5-3/16! tall and is stapled flush with the end panel edges with clearplastic connectors. It is made of 5/8! industrial grade particleboard. It isnot laminated and requires application of a finished toe kick cover ortoe plate.

F Shelves The shelves are 1/2! thick industrial gradeparticleboard, paper laminated on both sides with a PVC edge band onfront edge for a finished appearance. The shelves are half-depth andare adjustable with locking shelf clips. The front clip has a stop to keepthe shelf from moving forward. They are shipped installed in thecabinet.

G Back Panel The back panel is 7/32! industrial gradeparticleboard, laminated on one side with a natural light maple or whitelaminate on the Fairmont line. The panel is bored for the drawerguides installation. The back panel is captured in a groove, glued andsecured with steel fasteners into the end panels.

H Back Rails Top back rail is 3/4! unfinished industrial gradeparticleboard, lip tenoned into the end panels, glued and secured withsteel fasteners on the outside of the cabinet. The bottom back rail is1/2! unfinished industrial grade particleboard, glued and secured withsteel fasteners on the outside of cabinet.

I Corner Braces Rigid plastic formed braces are secured withsteel fasteners into sides, back and front frame for structural support.They are pre-drilled for anchoring the countertops.

J Drawer Options

Standard Drawers The drawer box sides are made of 5/8!

natural maple laminated industrial grade particleboard or whitelaminated particleboard, with PVC edge band. The bottom is 7/32!

HingesOn all lines except Aurora, the hinges are fully concealed and open to106 degrees to permit easy access. Hinges are self-closing andadjustable to allow six different door alignments. There is amanufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty on all these hinges. On theAurora lines, the hinges are semi-concealed, adjustable, steel, andself-closing. There is no lifetime warranty on the Aurora hinges.

Full Plywood (PC) Base Cabinets


Stiles and Rails are solid kiln dried, 3/4! thick and1-1/2! wide wood. All lines are mortise & tenon construction,glued and secured with steel fasteners. The tenon on eachend of the rail is 3/8!.

Standard Drawer The drawer sides, backs, and fronts aremade of 1/2! dovetailed birch veneered plywood. Drawerbottoms are 3/16! birch veneer plywood. All have a cleartopcoat finish.

End Panels are 1/2! birch plywood with birch veneer oninterior and exterior with a clear topcoat finish. The panel isnotched 4-1/2! up from the bottom edge and 3! in from thefront edge for the toe kick. The end panels are glued andsecured with steel fasteners to the front frame.

Shelves The shelves are 5/8! thick birch veneer plywoodwith a birch veneer edge band to match interior. The shelvesare half-depth and are adjustable with locking shelf clips. Thefront has a stop to keep the shelf from moving forward. Theyare shipped installed in the cabinet.

Back Panel is 7/32! plywood. The interior is birch veneerwith clear topcoat finish. The panel is bored for the drawerguide installation. The back panel is grooved and glued andsecured with steel fasteners into the end panels.

Back Rails The top rail is 3/4! plywood, lip tenon into theend panels, glued and secured with steel fasteners on theoutside of the cabinet. The bottom back rail is 1/2! plywoodglued and secured with steel fasteners on the outside of thecabinet.

A WORD ABOUT WOOD

Marsh Furniture offers cabinetry constructed of solid wood, beautiful veneers, and laminated products. The naturalwoods and veneers are presented in three different species and multiple finish colors to suit your personal tastes.To further accentuate the natural beauty of these woods, glazing accents are offered on cherry and maple species.

As one of nature’s most beautiful renewable resources, wood has certain characteristics that occur naturally as wellas over time in a normal household environment. In the wood selected for our cabinets, these natural featurespossess intrinsic degrees of varying grain character, small mineral streaks, and slight color variations. Theseinherent characteristics are considered acceptable and desirable attributes in quality wood cabinetry.

As with carpets, draperies and upholstery in the home, all species of wood exhibit color changes when exposed todifferent light sources and other environmental factors over time. Unfiltered sunlight is one of the most damagingfactors to the surfaces of the cabinets. To help combat this, Marsh’s finishing process is engineered to provideprotection to the greatest degree possible, however, certain changes will occur naturally. Please note that our finishand other construction aspects of our cabinets meet all of the stringent specifications of the Kitchen CabinetManufacturers Association, which is considered the seal of approval of the cabinet industry.

At Marsh, your satisfaction with our products is of utmost importance. It is for that reason we take this time to explainthe specific natural characteristics mentioned above and how they might appear in your cabinetry. Below, you willfind a brief description of each of the species offered by Marsh Furniture. Following are guidelines to care for yourcabinets in a manner that will not cause physical damage or harm their beauty.

Oak is an extremely hard wood with an open grain pattern. The pattern may vary from a tight to wide pattern witha coarse texture. In oak’s natural state, colors may range from brownish with a red tinge to a light yellow. When alight finish is applied, these variations are visible and should not be considered a defect.

Maple is a hard and dense wood with a close grain that is relatively subtle in appearance. The grain pattern mayvary from a tight vertical pattern to a wild arch-shape. The color range runs from white to yellow and brown. Marshis very selective in this color range, ensuring the brown portion to have a faint brown tint. Inherently, there are finehoney-colored mineral and sugar streaks Maple will react to both natural and artificial light sources, taking on asomewhat subdued patina. When a light finish is applied, these variations are visible and should not be considereddefects.

Cherry is a moderately hard wood, heavy and strong. It is generally a straight grained, uniformly textured woodcharacterized by its red undertones. Given that, it may range in color from a light to dark reddish brown heartwoodwith tones from greenish to white sapwood. There is also a natural occurrence of small knots, pitch pockets orwormholes in the surface of the wood. Cherry is well known for its response to artificial and natural light sources,developing a rich and lustrous patina in the colors noted above. These variations are often quite visible with naturalor light finishes while appearing less on darker stains, shielding the wood from various light sources.

Birch is a medium-hard wood with plain and closed grain. The grain is often characterized as a curly or wavypattern. It is predominantly a light yellow wood that takes stain very well. When a light finish is applied thesevariations may be visible and should not be considered a defect. When a dark stain is applied the wavy and curlygrain absorb stain and reflect light in such a manner as to enhance the natural characteristics of the species andshould not be considered a defect.


CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF MARSH CABINETS

WOOD SURFACES

For normal cleaning use a clean soft cloth dampened with a mild solution of two drops of dishwashing liquid perone gallon of water.

Dry off thoroughly, removing any excess moisture.

DO NOT USE STRONG DETERGENTS, SOLVENTS, OR ABRASIVE CLEANERS.

Do not use a dish cloth on cabinet surfaces.

THERMOFOIL AND MELAMINE SURFACES

For normal cleaning use a clean soft cloth dampened with a mild solution of two drops of dishwashing liquid perone gallon of water.

Dry off thoroughly, removing any excess moisture.

DO NOT USE STRONG DETERGENTS, SOLVENTS, OR ABRASIVE CLEANERS.

Do not use a dish cloth on cabinet surfaces.

All non-abrasive household cleaners may be used. Examples: Simple Green, Formula 409, etc.

When using a self-cleaning oven, opening all the adjacent doors and drawers or using heat shields isrecommended. This is to help prevent damage and discoloration of the cabinets.

MOISTURE FROM STEAM AND HOT WATER PRESENT IN KITCHENS SHOULD BE KEPT OFF OF ALLCABINETS. IF CABINETS DO GET WET, DRY THEM BY WIPING WITH A CLEAN SOFT DRY CLOTH TOMAINTAIN FINISH.
