The SpeedDeck Building Systems service is more than

Included in this Portfolio is SpeedDeck Designer 3, the

specifications to ADL2 to be prepared for SpeedDeck.

Software
SpeedDeck Designer3 is the 3rd release of
SpeedDeck Building Systems’ design
software for SpeedDeck secret-fix roofing.
New features in release 3 include:
• Data compliance with AD L2
• f value calculator
• 3D solid model CAD details and viewer
• Structural deck specifier
• U values to BS EN 10211-2
• Help function
• Rain water designer to BS EN 12056-3
These accompany the original features,
now enhanced, including the specifier,
wind load estimator, CAD details,
Agrément and technical manual modules.
Designer3 remains a powerful tool to
enable the roof designer to create an
initial design and specification quickly
and accurately.
Designer 3 is tested to work on:
• Microsoft® Windows XP/2000
• Pentium II or higher processor
• 32MB or more of installed RAM
• Monitor resolution of 800x600 or higher
• 16bit colour or higher
• 405MB of hard disk space for a full installation
(25MB for a compact installation)
The software may run on previous Windows operating
systems and lower specifications but these are not
supported by SpeedDeck.
On installing the disc, set up is automatic. Designer3 uses
an o2c 3D CAD detail viewer and this will be installed from
disc if you do not already run o2c.
You will be prompted to insert a serial number/access code.
This is available from SpeedDeck on 01379 788166 or
[email protected]. We keep a record of Designer3 users,
allowing us to issue upgrades in the future.
Designer3 is easy to install and easy to use.

Vitesse 120 has been extensively used on Porsche Centres
in the UK. The generic design concept for Porsche Centres was
developed by Porsche Stuttgart and is being adopted worldwide.
The architectural cladding specification called for a
RAL 9006 external colour, RAL 9007 internal colour,
crisp bi-modular joints, straight and curved panels.
The resulting buildings look excellent and SpeedDeck
is proud of its association with Porsche (UK) Ltd.

Situated near Portishead Marina, aluminium faced Vitesse 120
was specified as the ideal product in this marine environment.
The Vitesse panels have a white PVdF coated aluminium external
face and white polyester steel inner facing with 120mm Rockwool
Conrock insulation.
Alcoa Kawneer glazing and curtain walling was also integrated
with the Vitesse panels. The resulting building is spectacular
and befitting of a quality retailer.

The dramatic and striking roof shape for the Donald Dewar Sports
Centre was created using 0.9mm stucco embossed SpeedDeck,
pre-curved where necessary, with a 150mm deep SpeedDeck
structural deck spanning across the falls.
The roof is insulated with non-combustible Rockwool insulation
which also helps provide an excellent sound insulation performance.

The Xscape building posed unique challenges to the construction
team. The SpeedDeck sheets were roll formed on-site at ground
level in 60m sheet lengths and banded in bundles.
The bundles were lifted to the 42m high apex by crane and
installed in 3 tiers by fixers trained in abseiling skills. End laps
were welded in-situ by MRWSL.
The resulting roof line is striking and the roof area one of the
single largest in Europe.

Construction and fitting out of the vital £15M Thameslink maintenance depot at
Bedford in just 12 months has been described as an "outstanding achievement".
Go-ahead Group rail chief Keith Ludeman said "12 months ago this was a
derelict site-now it is a 24-hour working depot. It was critical for us that it
was opened on time and it was."
HSBC Rail, which funded the construction, owns the depot and leases it to
Southern over a 25 year period. Network Rail owns the freehold of the site
and provided the electrified rail connection.
The depot is designed to carry out most regular examinations, from safety checks
and wheel ultrasonics testing to brake pad and traction motor replacement.
