Introduction

Cherokee Street is proud to present our proposal regarding sponsorship

opportunities for the upcoming event Redemption: Barata vs Montoya 2 which

will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center on September 17th, 2011. This

event will showcase up and coming talent in the MMA world with the culmination

of the event showcasing the anticipated rematch between Brazil’s Rafael “Barata”

De Freitas and Santa Fe, New Mexico fighter Joshua “The Destroya” Montoya!

This card will not only feature some of MMA’s premier fighters, but will also

include a huge spectator audience and on-site media coverage. With this mixture

of exciting bouts in conjunction with media coverage, this will present numerous

promotional and advertising benefits. We are excited to offer you the opportunity

to sponsor the exciting event, Redemption: Barata vs Montoya 2.

This proposal will contain information on the event, sponsorship opportunities

that are available, and the benefits of teaming up with Cherokee Street on this

event.

The Event: Redemption- Barata vs Montoya 2

On the night of September 17th, 2011, Cherokee Street will present Redemption: Barata vs

Montoya 2 at the Albuquerque Convention Center. In the first meeting of these warriors, May

2011, Barata and Montoya went right to war from bell one. Barata being a World Champion Jiu

Jitsu black belt, and Montoya, the hard hitting championship contender. From round one it was

a war that nobody expected. Barata, an expert on the ground, showed that he had the stand up

game to go toe to toe with Montoya. Montoya had some tricks up his sleeve as well, not

allowing the Jiu Jitsu specialist to take him to the ground. Barata and Montoya fought to a

“controversial” three round decision. That night, Barata had his arm raised in victory over

Montoya. Many members of the crowd in Clovis, New Mexico believed that the bout could

have gone either way…..

This chain of events has led us to the upcoming event, Redemption: Barata vs Montoya 2,

where Barata and Montoya will prove once and for all, who is the superior fighter. The battle

will take place in their very own backyard, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Barata, Gracie Barra

instructor and Chavez Dojo trained fighter. Montoya, Tao Fitness and Dojo owner and Jackson’s

MMA trained fighter.

Redemption: Barata vs Montoya 2 will showcase up and coming fighters from the state of New

Mexico. Gyms participating in this event will be Gracie Barra New Mexico, Chavez Dojo,

Jackson’s MMA, Albuquerque Kickboxing, and Tran Lovato MMA, just to name a few. This card

will be stacked with the most competitive bouts in MMA, proving Cherokee Street is the

PREMIER organization to showcase MMA events.

Event Venue

Redemption: Barata vs Montoya 2 will be held in the Albuquerque Convention Center. The

venue seats approximately 3,000 fans, with security experts, top notch concessions, and audio

visual services to ensure a high quality production.

The Albuquerque Convention Center is located in downtown Albuquerque. The Albuquerque

Convention Center offers a state of the art venue with all high end amenities for their guests. In

addition to the all the amenities, Albuquerque Convention Center is walking distance to hotels,

restaurants and Albuquerque’s exciting downtown night life . Easily accessible from the

highway, Albuquerque Convention Center is located at 401 2nd

St, Albuquerque, New Mexico,

Event Promotional and Marketing Activities

Promotional and marketing activities for Redemption: Barata vs Montoya 2 will start in August

2011 and will continue until the date of the event. Many different avenues of promotion will be

utilized for this event.

Other events and activities to support the upcoming event are as follows:

• Local radio and television event advertising for August-September 2011

• Press conferences to announce upcoming bouts as well as changes to fight card

• Promotional events by Cherokee Street prior to the event

• Official press releases announcing the complete fight card, any changes to the fight

card, weigh-in results, and fight results (minimum)

• Discussion of event and results on Fighter Nation Radio show, which Cherokee Street is

a direct affiliate of

• All marketing and PR- Grass roots and Web

• Professional Video Production and Media coverage

Cherokee Street will ensure that all efforts will be made in preparations for the upcoming bout

to ensure that the event and sponsor will receive the up most care possible.
