CYMC, the Canadian Youth Music Competition (2015), is an interactive event that promotes innovation, creativity and ultimately, Canadian arts and culture. CYMC is a nation wide online and interactive musical competition for high school students (solo artists, bands, singers). Contestants will have the chance submit their original songs online and the top three finalists will have the one in a lifetime opportunity to showcase their talent in Ontario. The ultimate winner will represent the CYMC and perform at the 2015 JUNOs in Hamilton, Ontario.

What makes CYMC unique is its integration and combination of both online and offline tools to reach its target audience and mission to provide opportunities for high school students to engage in arts and entertainment. Numerous secondary schools across Canada are not privileged enough to provide musical education to their students, and CYMC aims to be another tool for teenagers to express their innovation and creativity.

Our goal is to become the leading music competition for youth in Canada.

SEPT. - MARCH 2015Marketing and advertising campaigning

SEPT. – DEC. 2014High school students from across Canada can submit their music videos at cymc.ca.

FEB. 2015Top three finalist groups/individuals are selected through combination of CYMC team and ratings by fans online.

MARCH 2015Finalists arrive in Hamilton, Ontario

Winner is determined at CYMC Finalist Event a week prior to the 2015 Junos
