Scholars must also commit to playing their chosen club sport when selected, up to end of S2 (rugby) or S6 (hockey). provided it doesn’t interfere with their main sport. Lunchtime and after school support of junior clubs is also expected, as is regular promotion of school sport, both internally (through assemblies and pupils' talks) and externally (on social media, in the press, and with our FP community). The Director of Sport will also meet regularly with scholars and encourage them to make the most of sporting opportunities within the co-curricular programme and outwith School.

The award of a scholarship is subject to annual review within these criteria, and can be withdrawn without evidence of suitable and appropriate progress, performance, and commitment. In the unlikely event that a scholar no longer wishes to commit themselves to the scholarship programme, the school reserves the right to revoke the scholarship for the upcoming year, at that stage.

Sport scholars are also expected to maintain academic performance as a condition of their award.

individual sports

Consideration will be given to the amount of competition pupils face in each sport.

Scholars must commit to playing another school sport when selected, provided it doesn’t interfere with their main sport.
