ABOUT 24-7 SPORTS

24/7 Sports is a sports recreational service provider offering community based services for hosting sporting leagues, tournament, and events for all ages from youth to adults.  We recognized a need for this type of service after scouring the local newspapers, bulletin boards, as well as the web looking for something to for the average athlete but finding nothing that suited our needs.

Provide continuous activities for our youth through sports and recreation. As well as allowing youth a positive opportunity to excel beyond even their own abilities.

Our vision is to teach, to instruct, and to care. We care to have more families out in the community participating in recreational activities. You will always be able to get accurate instruction from all our staff about our events and leagues. We train our staff to be able to get information back to you the customer and to not let you leave without getting the correct information.

LEAGUE INFO. Welcome to the Jr. NFL Youth Flag Football League brought to you by Twenty Four Seven Sports!

Twenty Four Seven Sports is based in Southern California and services Central and Southern California youth sports. The 24-7 Youth Sports is a Youth Flag Football League sponsored by the NFL (National Football League). The NFL FLAG Football program is designed to educate young people about football while emphasizing participation and sportsmanship. It is the premier youth football league for boys and girls ages 5-17. The program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact 5 on 5 flag football. This five-on-five game is recognizable to football fans everywhere. Participants will learn about formations, pass patterns and different types of defense all in a non-contact environment. Signups will begin online late January 2009 with the season commencing Late - February and will run through Mid - April. Registration Cost will include everything needed (Except Mouthpieces) including a NFL team-identified reversible football jersey and NFL FLAG Belt.

This upcoming Fall season will mark our first season. Each season will provided an extremely positive experience for many participants, coaches, and parents within the league. We strive to maintain that FUN is the primary focus of Twenty Four Seven Youth Sports leagues, with winning and the competitive nature of the game of football coming secondary. Our organization operates both Spring and Fall seasons which provides year round flag football in a safe and fun atmosphere. Twenty Four Seven Youth Sports league serves as an option to those kids and parents who love the game of football, without the hassles and worries sometimes encountered with Tackle Football.

24-7 YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL VS. TACKLE

What’s the Difference?

What makes us different than regular Tackle Football???? Many things…. First off and most obvious, this is a Non-Contact League meaning there is Absolutely NO tackling and NO blocking. This means that players are less likely to become injured while playing. At this young age, bones are still developing and are not meant for hard contact which is one important reason the NFL promotes NFL Flag. Not to mention, kids will not be worried about getting hurt while playing and can focus more on the skills needed to play the game. Another difference between Twenty Four Seven Youth Flag Football and Tackle Football is that in Twenty Four Seven Youth Sports, EVERYONE plays EVERY position throughout the course of the season and everyone gets sufficient playing time. In this league, it doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are, or how Big or Skinny you are, everyone will play every position. When I decided to start this league, its foundation rested on the fact that this league was going to be ALL ABOUT FUN FOR EVERYONE!! How many times have you seen the Coaches kid always the star QuarterBack or the Biggest Player on the team goes the entire season playing Offensive line never touching a football? Kids should have the opportunity to experience every position. Its all about having FUN and Learning the Skills needed before advancing to the next level. Another benefit of the TFSYFF is that Practices will be a Maximum of 2 days a Week at most (Preferably 1 Day a Week once the regular season begins) and No longer than 2 Hours Tops. This will be at the discretion of the Coach. There is life outside of Football and both players and parents shouldn’t be burdened by going to Practice 3-5 nights a week with games on Saturday.

UNIFORM INFORMATION

NFL FLAG is the premier youth football league for boys and girls ages 5-17. The program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork.

  In this five-on-five game, the offensive team plays for a first down at midfield and a

touchdown in the end zone. Running and passing plays are allowed, although there are “no-running zones” at midfield and near each goal line. The defensive team covers receivers, rushes the passer and grabs flags to make “tackles.”

  Launched in 1996, the national NFL FLAG Football program is designed to educate

young people about football while emphasizing participation and sportsmanship. Players learn skills and lessons that help them succeed both on and off the field.
